What's Malthouse doing these days??

Thread needs more Tony Shaw.
Let's just get the Foxes over the line.
Tony Shaw could jinx it.

As an aside Gordon Banks was playing for Leicester during his World Cup success.
Yet they moved him on to Stoke I think next year 1967.
Greatest goalkeeper they say for England.
Only Lev Yashin of Russia was considered above him.

So less Tony Shaw

What's that based on? Finey supporting them? Because we get talked about a lot more than the Saints do, especially at the moment. It's pretty much reflective of whatever is hot in the media, which makes sense.

Nothing to do with that. Merely a hangover from the finals against the Saints and a number of their commentators are Saints supporters.
Lighten up, it was a joke, surprised you have not heard them mentioned that way before!
Really don't listen to SEN as too many ads.

Who will be our coach by the end of 2016?

We have too much talent to serve up the shit we constantly do so my question is, who is our next realistic coach? I don't want to see Clarkson or Lyon because we aren't going to get those guys, I want to see suggestions on who is realistically going to be the coach that will take our talent to the next level.

You'd be over the moon if he was coming back knowing he can build an empire again.

No I wouldn't. Mick had a great career at Collingwood but it is well and truly over now. Suggesting that we should entertain the idea of his return is foolish in the extreme.

Think we should have a true independent committee established to review the Club from the president down to the guy that cleans the toilet, start it now and let it run for the whole season so we get a clear picture not a rushed review. We need to know if this is a structural issue like Geelong of 2006 or if its a personnel issue (Eg Coach and the person who appointed the coach).

I don't think there should be a coach at all. There should be a collective vote each week on Bigfooty for what the game-plan should be, who gets selected, who gets de-listed, who's the final best 22 and which injury managed program should be in place for Ben Reid.

With all the experts on here, it's nothing short of guaranteed to work.

Don't think I have 11 years left in me. May as well as Tony to come back, he could do it in half the time.

Factional warfare will be a thing of beauty. How about these factions
Devil's advocates
Necessary evils
Hand wringers
Prophets of doom
Eternal optimists
Fence sitters
Analysts
Gameplan technicians
Revisionists
Match thread snipers
All rounders
Some can be fairly similar with small points of difference.

Treating this thread seriously, which of the currently available ex-senior coaches (of which there are many); and of the 'next in line' assistant coaches, would be a good fit for the Collingwood Football Club? No point in nominating Clarkson, Lyon, etc, as they are not available.

Bucks goes alright, for now. But if we get crazy and start chopping heads then let's go full-crazy, not half-arsed.

My nomination: Jason Akermanis. A whole team doing handstands, imagine that...
