Roos will be available for 2017 and beyond.

Write a blank cheque and ask him to put a number on it.
With the restriction on football department spending no longer possible to offer blank cheque unless it is underwritten by AFL like Melbourne have been.

Ah the panic merchants....
In a crisis wow you'd have your mates' backs....

Or the anti Nathan brigade, at least you're happy today...

The harder more mature road is to support whoever is the coach, reboot, see what happens.
One day, someone else will be coach, until then supporting always generates better results than white anting.
That's just my opinion.

Like a relationship if you go to your parter and slag them off at every opportunity not destined to work out...

You would have made an excellent propaganda minister for the Axis in WW2. You could have held a straight face whilst telling the people the war on the eastern front was won in 1945.

Freo are goalless in the second quarter, seven goals behind. If Fremantle are as reactionary as we'd like Collingwood to be, maybe Ross will be available?

Ok.
Good thinking. Love the compliment.

Next announcement: People all is well, the war is going from strength to strength.
And we have Krueger on board. With his support the war will be won :p

I find it refreshing that fewer and few posters are reacting to his comments.

Yes that is true.

And the war is won, love it

In my opinion the team remains in transition, particularly when we have players such as Cloke and Swan still in our best 22 (or at least picked consistently in the best 22 week in, week out). In Swan's case, after last night, he won't be there for awhile, possibly not again.

Add to that Pendles, who is a brilliant player, but who I think should be moved to half-back for the majority of the remainder of the season.

These players are slowly being replaced by better players (as in better now, not on their historical output). Our mids are young and consist primarily of De Goey, Adams, Treloar, Greenwood, Crisp. Additionally we have drafted Brayden Sier, no doubt with a view to bolstering the midfield group further.

Up forward we have Moore, who will be very good and is capable of holding down a key position once Cloke moves on (as it stands, Cloke isn't capable of holding down a key position at this time). Faso, Elliot and Howe can rotate around Moore, and hopefully we can find someone to play the crumbing forward role.

We need to improve down back, but the talent there isn't as dire as everyone is suggesting. Frost got a terrible bake last night, rather unfairly I thought, and a number of other players such as Williams and Maynard showed last year that they're capable of playing well at this level.

Provided the playing group believes in, and is prepared to work for Bucks and the rest of the coaching staff, then we shouldn't want to change our coaching team just yet, as continuity will bring better results once the side matures. There have been a few 'quick-fixes' which have appeared successful recently (Port, Dogs, Fremantle, arguably Carlton at this early stage) however they haven't yielded any results just yet. Teams like Geelong and Hawthorn benefited from continuity and developing a core of players. The argument will be whether the core of players we have at the moment are the equal of those at Geelong and Hawthorn (and they're probably not at the moment), however the argument should be whether the core of players we have are capable of delivering success, not of being the equal of two great sides.

If the answer is no, then I think the coach and the list should be turned over.
Just another armchair expert wanting to waste the prime years of our best mid on the backline

Hello?? Do you think the reason might be that many are agreeing with me now and that they are busy making their own statements? :$

If you havnt noticed the number of people seriously questioning Buckley and giving their 2 cents worth then open your eyes.

Err, let me think...No

Well said! Spot on.
Our best midfielder - an all time great! - and let's send him to the back area so a lesser light can get less of the ball. What could go wrong?

Thought as much and not surprised.

Whats your predication for the rest of the year? Win the next 22 straight, storm into the GF and win by 20 goals? lol

Putting aside that it's too early to much this call. First preference would be to target Clarkson, otherwise look to bring Beveridge or Richardson back to the club or internally to Burns or Tapping. No to Lyon as we don't need to lose any more grand finals.

Bring in Ratten

After seeing what MM did with Carlton, Ratten did a pretty good job with that list. He has senior coaching experience, which we clearly need.

Now he's leaned from the best, something else we clearly need as Buckley's tactics are stuck in 2000 while the league has moved on.
