Whose it gonna be?

Maric
Meesen
Tippet

I'd like to see Meesen given a go since he has yet to show us his worth. Looks like Craig will punt on Maric but one things for sure we will miss putting Griffo in the forward fifty.;)

ummm... meesen hasnt even played for norwood yet this yr and is still injured. tippet is still coming to terms with rucking for westies...

maric struggled yesterday against nicholas.

i reckon mcgregor is even a chance given his experience.. considering the lack of match fitness for maric. that given, maric will still get a game as he's the only semi fit ruckman left!

Why on gods green earth would we want Hale?

Why on gods green earth would we want Hale?

He is a good ruckman. Don't let his crappyness at our team fool you, in the ruck he is a very good player, however is just superflous to our needs as we have mcintosh, petrie and such. As a genuine ruckman, I dare say he is quite a good prospect, and for a team that will be challenging for the flag especially next year without injuries, I think Hale would be more of an asset then a developing Griffin/maric.

What would you guys give the Roos for Hale? Rutten perhaps:rolleyes:

However seriously though, maybe a 1st round pick (which I expect for you guys will be 16.) That could be worth it.
Mate we got more ruckman out our list than we could poke a stick at. There is absolutely no reason to get another one. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we try to trade away a ruckman or 2 from our list to address other areas.

Although he is struggling a little this year, he’s only just turned 23 and has the potential to be a very solid AFL ruckman for many years. He averaged over 11 possessions and 11 hitouts per game last year and he can go forward if required and kick a couple of goals.

I know that you guys have a lot of ruckman, however I would suggest that with a team going for a premiership a developed ruckman such as Hale, would be better then having Messen and such who will be undoubtably better, but maybe not have the experience yet, to back up Hudson.

I strongly disagree with this. Maric has shown last year that he is a good back up and Griffin has shown this year that he gives us a lot as teh #2 ruckman. His ruckwork in the center square is excellent and he hints it well at ground level.

I rate Hale very highly but there is no way I would be looking to trade for him as long as we have Maric and Griffin on the list.

I'm not saying he's no good. Just with 4 young rucks on the list I don't see why we'd need another one.

Ok, obviously from the matches that I saw, my opinion on the 2 players would not be as comprehensive as one who watches them week in and week out. Don't get me wrong, I was really impressed with them, and was actually quite worried, as I thought in the future our ruck quarter would be the strongest. I guess the point that I was just trying to make was that I rate you team really highly, and just thought a full developed ruckman with game experience would have been beneficial, especially for the next couple of years.
Guess we need to find another team to ship his of to.

Mate i reckon Hale is a nothing special at all. If he was on the crows list he would come just before Maric (which is not saying much). I mean the only reason he's looking good really is because Mcintosh is absolutely killing it in the ruck and the kangas r winning and he hasn't had much to do in all that really. I think we should go with Kenny personally. I mean if we are thinking of trading him at the end of the season, he needs to show the other 15 clubs he'll b valuable. So give Kenny a go like they have to Jericho, and see how he goes. I must say i had huge doubts over jericho and though this was definetly he's last year (i still think he won't b on our list come next season) but it was good to see him do good after all he's bee through the last couple of years.

Biglands is back next year.

Hale is probably better than Biglands, but really all Biglands needs to do now is hold down the fort if the kids aren't up to it.

Biggles kicks goals too, so with 5 ruckman, we have a plethora of options for that second ruck spot after Huddo. Hale is a numpty.

How'd McGregor go today.

McGregor and Perrie can ruck when Hudson is off the ground.

I'd rather see that than Maric who is short of game time.

I'd gladly do the pick 16 for McIntosh trade if you're up for that ;)
