Geelong v. Sydney @ Skilled
Adelaide v. West Coast @ AAMI
Collingwood v. Hawthorn @ Dome

Best 6, and likely top 6 (if Swans beat the pies this week), sides in the competition head to head in the same week. We are a long way out but this week of games has the potential to be critical in deciding the top 2 and 4come seasons end. Must win game.

Next few weeks are huge! gotta win the next 3 to set ourselves up!

think if we can get over Sydney next week it will shut anyone up that still have doubts of the cats , reading some comments on other boards there are still a lot of clubs that have us down as the pretenders that will fall sooner or later and that West Coast and Sydney are still the real thing. Just think we need to beat this mob to prove to the doubting few that are left.

Let me guess, those clubs might be Collingwood, Sydney, WC and maybe 1 or 2 others?
No offense meant, but Sydney couldn't tell a pretender if it leapt out at them and screamed "OOGA BOOGA" at them. They still think they have a chance at premiership, and that everything will slot into place like last year. But i can say now, if they're not going to work as hard as possible, why even turn up to the Cats vs Swans match. We'll trounce them if they think that they'll eventually get right by not working hard.

And West Coast have difficulty telling talent from pretending to have talent sometimes.

I really think if Sydney doesn't work harder, they wont go anywhere, and West Coast need to get over the premiership high, and keep their eyes on the prize, instead of last year's prize.

Again, no offence meant but your post appears to be full of what I would term wishful thinking. The reason why those two clubs have earnt the respect that they get is that they have the runs on the board and we do not. Both clubs will be significant obstacles to overcome if we are to win our first premiership in over four decades. You can bet your fur that the GFC won't be thinking along the same lines as your good self.

Plenty of unanswered questions

Will the break hurt us?
Why is Tenace still in the ones?
Will we run out of legs?
Will we continue to plow every opponent as if they were Sam Newmans jilted lover?

the 2nd half of this season promises all that rollercoaster stuff that we as Cat fans are familiar with.

Bit wooried about the Sydney game. They will have had their rest and a game against the Pies to sharpen up for us. We could have a just a little rust?

Hope not.

Go you good things.

wish you were playing the swans at the scg, then we'd see how far the cats have come. it's all well and good to beat them at your home ground - thats something youre expexted to do.

sounds like a bitter man.

Bitter that we flogged you at SS
Bitter that we took your top spot
and bitter because we have more class in our reserves team than you do in your ones.

you can only play the games that are on the roster.

we have been to the tune of 7 straight W's my man.

see you in september west coke eagle. If you make it there.

Kittenish

Kittenish...you may just be right about Sydney. They were trully awful last night. Lets hope the media don't bake them to hard this week.

Unfortunately, I now agree with you. You guys have only yourselves to worry about next weekend.

You can probably add St.kilda vs Richmond to the list now, not so much a contenders match but both coming off good wins.

As opposed to the Swans being "expected" to beat the pies?
No win is guaranteed, regardless of where it's being played...

I fear we are going to lose our next 3. Swannies on the rebound, Hird's 250th, and a 100pt belting to the Pies.

Not worried about the Collingwood game. I think the guys will be fired up to have a big win as payback for last year, as well as winning for Jimmy's 100th and the human blanket's 150th. Next two games are dangers for us though for the reasons you've mentioned.

If we do happen to win the next three though, we'd have beaten all the grand finallists since 2000! :D:thumbsu:
