Roast No HD coverage for the Grand Final

First of all congratulations to The Swans on making it to the Grand Final - I hope it's a cracking game unfortunately due to the insulting way Channel 7 treats football fans we won't get to see it in full HD glory (and the feed they supply to Foxtel is SD that Foxtel will uprez).

If anyone else is utterly sick and tired of the way Channel 7 treats footy fans with contempt and would like to voice your displeasure at the lack of HD Grand Final coverage I suggest you get active and make a bit of noise via social media. Some of the tweets from @HDTVforAFLGF target the Channel 7 sponsors - get busy retweetings!

They shoot the game in HD but refuse to simulcast or supply fox with the HD feed. You can bet there will be a full HD Blu-Ray disk on sale though...

It's probably an agreement with Foxtel i'd say. I couldn't think of any other reason as to why 7 wouldn't show it in HD.

Channel 7 aren't honouring the contract with Foxtel - they are supposed to supply HD feed to Foxtel for the games they are covering but only supply SD and Foxtel upscale it to pseudo HD. 7 has the capability - they film in HD they just refuse to supply HD feed or simulcast in HD (and there is nothing to stop them from simulcasting).
