Work on monday the toast mob are going to put up with a week of me smilling and asking how their team is going and what it like to be beaten by their old coach and his team ranked last.

Call it trolling or whatever you want. It's football . It's been going on for over 100 years.

Deflection is a wondferful thing and an exsquisit pass time.

I commend scham for starting a thread that will sit on the front page for a while to remind everbody that we are not brothers of the toast. At every opportunity we will needle them.

Because if he posted it on the Eagles board he'd be flamed and labelled a "troll."

And it's also because we're just so inferior to Eagles supporters in that we spend so much time worrying about other teams. Becuase it's not like you'd ever see a Freo related thread on the Eagles Bigfooty board or on Eaglesflyinghigh.

The tile of this thread shows no respect to Colon Would. They played the egirls at their own game and won. Egirls outplayed and out coached.

Other than Judd Judy the egirls had a full stength side. How many did Colon Would have missing??

Just shows on any given day any side is capable of winning.

Please note I'm not a great fan of Colon Would or Darth Vader but it makes you feel good to see the egirls lose at the "G".

In future guys keep eagle orientated threads on the main board, this is the freo board and there is far more exciting things to discuss than the bloody eagles.
Though it was nice to see them spanked by what could be the most pathetic sides of the past 10 years....

Maybe not, but most of the time such threads get a steely reception on those boards as well. EFH's main board barely gets noticed whereas the BF main board is very popular. Might as well use the main board then, eh?

As for the inferiority thing, I don't think Freo are an inferior club, but having a supporter starting threads about the 'bigger brother club' doesn't exactly reek of high club 'self esteem' (for want of a better word). Incidentally, I feel that the same goes for Eagles supporters who post crap about freo on the WC boards.

This coming from a Freo supporter. How many finals games has Freo played in over the last ten years. I think we all know who would get the most votes for the last decades most pathetic club. But at least you guys have the passion, more than can be said for the players.

If losing in a tight away game to 16th sans your best player is not a great way to get respect, then getting comprehensively flogged and humiliated in a home game against 15th is.. well, go figure

Naa not at all. But instead of all give i'll have to also take. Thats what I like about football.

By wednesday I'll be plotting my celebrations after we skin a few a cats

Its a harsh game footy- actually, i'm trying to remember the last time both WA sides lost in one week

Weren't the Pies sans their 2 best players. Hawthorn are a far better team than Collingwood, but even then we were very, very soft today. At least we were able to beat the cellar dwellars (fairly comfortably)

And at least we were able to account for Hawthorn (on the road!)

Its neither here nor there, but our three interstate games bar the brisbane flogging have been pretty similar- close, hard fought games which could have gone either way- on that basis I'm reasonably happy to have gotten 2 out of 3 of the close games.

I'm trying not to twist the knife anymore than absolutely necessary, but the thing I simply don't understand about Freo is how inconsistent the effort can be from one week to the next. The pies beat us fair and square, and there were parts of our game that went badly wrong, but basically it is the same side from week to week, less effective on the road of course, but still reasonably solid.

I was under the impression that Freo were going down the same track after the loss to Essendon- it was disappointing, but they didn't drop their bundle and still looked like a decent team.

Then to turn around and get flogged by 50 points at home is just woah..call me selfish but its playing havoc with my tipping. Given Freo have a more experienced list than us, you'd have to ask serious questions about your lots consistency and mental application. The buck stops squarely in the coaching box.
