1. I have been told Nathan Ablett has signed up, this happened yesterday.

2. This is not 100% (it never can be with draft day), but it IS likely that we'll take Boak.

b) have a time machine and know how each player is 5 years from now

yeah I have to confess I have NFI how each of these draftees are except for snippets I have read of others opinions. I am happy to let Wells do his job and hope we pick up some good talent. There is always an element of uncertainty as not all top draft picks end up superstars. But it is interesting, if not amusing, to read other peoples passionette posts about young guys they have probably never seen play.

Okay - that's a loaded list of questions which you can't lose on because you know it's unlikely I've seen more games than Wells and no one has a time machine. But you easily could have added - d) simply expressing my own opinion based on the reviews of Weaver and other people who have watched these guys.

Last time I checked it wasn't a crime to express an opnion on Bigfooty and make a light-hearted comment to go along with it.

Incidently, how likely is it that Wells has watched all (meaning every player) these guys play?

I can be cut if I want. Sure, I have not seen Boak play, but the whole world is saying there is a clear top 7, and Boak is not one of them. I have heard his skills are not the best, so I don't want him.

Boak was coming to Geelong at 7, but Port got him first, so we got Selwood.

I think Geelong would have taken Selwood over Boak if they were both available, but it just so happens they werent so the choice was easy.

Opinions are fine, but at least back them up with some facts or something substansial so what you are saying doesnt make you look like a dill...

What, Port vindictive, holding a grudge...?

I certainly hope not in this case anyway. I would have thought that they saw Boak as the "next best Mid", and from what I have been able to gather on him I would guess that "character" came into it too. I've done my best to find out about him and haven't come up with a huge amount, a lot of the stuff from here contradictory, a lot quite positive.

Has any of you seen him play? Know him? I hope it's OK to ask.
