It is with great sadness that I let you know that my mum, Western Bulldogs Member 2653108, entered inpatient care hospice on Tuesday and has been given only a few more days to live. As many of you know, for the past 13 and a half years I have been full time caregiver for both my late father who passed away in 2004 and for my mum. That has been the reason for me not returning to Australia sooner. It has been the greatest honour for me to have helped both live in their home of nearly 55 years until the end. One of my goals was to get mum to her 90th birthday which we celebrated last October. She has been declining rapidly the past two weeks, but I tried to encourage her to make it until November so she could celebrate the first World Series Championship in her lifetime for our beloved Chicago Cubs.

I’d appreciate keeping her in your prayers for those who believe and in your thoughts from others.

In case you hadn’t seen this pic that I’ve posted before, this is mum and dad at the Whitten Oval in May 1979.

Its going to take a couple more games like that from those 2 to pinch the series, hard to see it happening.

Would love to see the cavs take it out.

Also, felt bad for Bogut going down. Big fella's injury curse just won't go away. Didn't look good.

Mum joined my father in eternal rest this evening, Thursday June 16. The Western Bulldogs now have one less member.
