How has Deron Williams become NBA flotsam and jetsam? Amazing.
We only waived him as a favour to get him to a contender (plus tank mode/going all in on youth). It wasn't based on performance at all as he was still a very good contributor this season.

Let's all laugh at Liverpool.

CHICAGO — Chicago’s historic snow drought continues and as February closes the records continue to fall.

Total snowfall for January and February has totaled just 0.6 inches (all of it in January), the least on record since the city’s snow climatology began in the winter of 1884-85.

Chicago has also set a record for lack of snow cover(defined as one inch of more of snow on the ground at the city’s official weather station).

This winter the city’s last official snow cover was on Christmas Day when 2 inches covered the ground.

Never, in the city’s 133 winters of record, has there been a January and February without a snow cover.

My last Chicago winter. I only shoveled snow three times. :D

Of course, today we had thunderstorms and a tornado warning. One actually touched down about 80km from here. Unheard of in February. Last week we had four days in a row of record high temperatures. If only all Chicago winters could be like this one... :p

I know there is quite a few gamers on the forum. Anyone interested in the Nintendo Switch release tomorrow? I expect most are PC/PS4/XB1 aligned, but the Switch does offer something a bit different with the portable capability. I might be interested later in the year when there is a larger game lineup.

Same boat as you mate. Love the technology and think it has a lot of potential but I can't justify buying it right now for Zelda and...1 2 Switch?

Once it has a better library and Nintendo have shown me that they're not just going to abandon it like they did the U, I'll grab one.

Has anyone watched this series?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2085059/

Thinking about giving it a whirl.

I haven't seen the most recent ones yet, but have seen the first two series and "White Christmas". I'd highly recommend it, though there is a certain element of unvarnished despair that seems to pervade the series (and most of Charlie Brooker's other work, for that matter; see, e.g., all of the "-wipe" series, and "Nathan Barley").

Anyone else think it's a little whack that eSports teams are now filling stadiums, have players with rockstar level celebrity, and are gaining blue chip sponsors that a lot of regular sports teams would only dream of having?

Like owning a good eSports team right now is actually a sound business decision and vastly appreciating asset...

What a world..

I don't find it weird at all

Crown held a tournament to for the eSports but charged $80 for a day pass & it was dead

Still, they tried to get in on it

Could you explain this . Read the article and still dont get what they are actually talking about. Is it some sort of fantasy team or something?

Astralis play a video game called Counter Strike GO.

And they're getting prizemoney, sponsors and fans that a lot of pro sports teams would only dream of.

Like, we'd be pretty chuffed if the dogs picked up audi as a major sponsor.
