So you would prefer to not finish top two, not have two home finals, and show how great we are by winning the flag anyway? I would prefer to maximise the odds.
No, I just think too many on this board are worried about other team results, when we can control our own destiny.

I live my life by don't worry about things you can't control!

If we beat Pies tonight’s result is a good one.

We would more than likely play Pies in a home final and the chances of playing them on GF day is less likely.

Meaning it’s more likely to be either Cats or an interstate side if we get there.
That's a good way of looking at it, but not sure how I feel about playing the pies twice in 3 games

You don't get to cherry pick your finals opponents for an ideal path. You can earn a decent path - two home finals - if you win enough games, which is entirely in our own hands as we currently sit in 1st with three rounds to go.

And two of those rounds we play opponents right near the bottom of the ladder.

We've recently ticked off Bulldogs away, comprehensively outplayed the Suns at home, smashed Port in the Showdown, and won an arm wrestle over Hawthorn at home. Just need one more win against a quality opponent.

No chance. Pies aren’t in great form. Hawks need to win to keep top 8 alive, they pushed us big time last night.

Hawks like the G, have good run and won’t play 4 tall forwards again.

There is a lot to play out with top 8 sides playing each other, there will be some upsets and we may just need to win the two easier games to get into the top 2.

Brisbane midfield tonight

Neale 36
McCluggage 34
Dunkley 31
Ashcroft 30
At 1st I was thinking they are not that old lol.

Farrrkkkk. Just bought a $2900 grand final package from the AFL event office. Would've had no questions buying it for $1000 even $1500. Sadly didn't buy the VIC PAYG crows membership on time so couldn't upgrade to gold. Suppose it will a reward for long hours of work across two jobs with no holiday. Hope the crows make it, wouldn't be too disappointed if say it was Collingwood vs Geelong, just as long as it's not something like Fremantle vs Gold Coast.
I think no matter who plays you will have a great day. Of course if Crows are participating all the better.

This is a bit of a myth really. Plenty of premiership teams have won in part because other teams took care of one of the top sides for them.

The 2005 Swans and 2018 Eagles as examples.

Plenty? Hardly.

2005 Sydney lost their first final to West Coast, came from 5 goals down against Geelong in a Semi, then beat St Kilda in an away Prelim.

2018 West Coast beat Collingwood twice, and on the MCG in a Grand Final after conceding the first 5 goals.

Easy flags don't exist.

Unlike you to be negative about how things will pan out for the Crows
We are top for the 1st time in 8 years with Lions winning & so many are negative about the result. Funny stuff.

Only thing is I got my tip wrong, but so did 2nd & 3rd, so I remain top.

Likely 3rd if we win 2 and 1st if we win 3.

At worst, 3rd, likely is a strong term whilst top 8 teams are playing each other.

I have said before that this is the hardest finals series to predict because you have the top 8 teams a game or two apart, anyone can win this one.
