I can guarantee that the trigger for 6 more years is if Butters is if he has an actual heartbeat, in 2 years time.

There is no way Butters would stay at Port for 2 more years and risk a huge multi year contract offer this year with a Vic Club.

I think they’re just trying to keep him for 2 more years whilst ‘competing’ and he can choose to go uncontracted if they crater.

I haven't seen enough of him but from the little I've seen I'd say no.
In a record-breaking deal, an unexpected 20-year-old AFL star has signed a mammoth nine-year contract that could make him the highest-paid player in AFL history, with earnings up to $14 million.

Hang on a minute....

What was the wash up with bad umpiring from the Collingwood/Geelong game?

Did they get an apology?

Or has the Angry Willie story detracted from that?
Probably still going with not enough conclusive evidence to say it wasn't touched and that protocols were followed correctly

I guess when using a camera to with less resolution than a digital camera from 1998 that conclusion happens a lot....

Maybe if they gave him a fine or a week when they heard about the first incident this weekend they wouldn't look so bloody inept

Could you imagine the lols, if there is even further reports of Rioli doing this to even more players.

He has been playing since 2018.....

This is why the AFL are amateur hour. They are so desperate to sweep this under the carpet as nothing to see here. But we have a serious case of players committing assault and others threatening assault and the AFL sits on its hands. And again, Tex says a racist comment and he gets 6 weeks. So is the AFL suggesting what Tex did was so much worse than the actions of everyone? thats complete horseshit. Yet if Tex walked up to Boak in the Showdown and did a massive elbow to the face and then as he is on the ground kicks him, hed get half a season. So whats the ****ing difference? Why does it take to be a political stance or an on field action for the AFL to ****ing have some balls. The media need to highlight the tex incident now for the glaring political bullshit it was.

Come on, the afl would have known about it. They merely swept it under the carpet because he is an indigenous player and they dont want to be seen to targeting these players. They just mad its made the media as someone has leaked it. **** the AFL honestly, they are such a hardened toxic culture within AFL house they should be given a massive **** you by the media. Basically told to stop bullshitting the public.
