His departure hasn’t bothered me until now, when it really bloody is.

Based on what was reported we set pretty fair requirements for him, but he decided to stiff us and another team was always a chance to benefit.

Would be handy in our front 6.

Nah, why would we effectively suspend him for an entire season when the AFL's second strike rule mandates a 4 game holiday? We did what we always did which was to prioritise optics over football performance and over-punish our players. We've been doing the same shit since Vince and his boxers and Tex and that bloody beer. Overeact over nothingness because we're overly concerned what the nannas will think. And the ridiculous thing is that the club would be well aware how prevalent cocaine use is among AFL lists. But we still have to hang our flag on the over-reaction pole. w***ers.

Cocaine users stick together I suppose.....

No he isn't.

He's playing in a side leading by nearly 80 points, with little to no pressure on the ball. If you think Jimmy couldn't do that then you're not as bright as I thought you were.

Of course, Rowe is just as good a footballer as Stengle. I'm guessing this is because we chose to shun Stengle, so he must be no good. There's literally no other evidence outside of our own dimwitted choice.

I suppose Richmond made the same dimwitted choice too ??

Rowe and Stengle have had virtually the same lower level careers, and both are really yet to translate them

Both Stengle and Rowe are downhill skiers

They both like to get on the end of the teams good work, they both struggle to create their goals through , or team goals through their own forward pressure

Good smalls are.like that, great ones create when things aren't going their way

I can’t believe anyone would be prepared to give us the benefit of the doubt on this.

You blokes think it is easy being right all the time. But it is actually ****ing annoying.

It takes time to search for these posts.

I said this in the original Stengle thread and was shouted down by Vader and a bunch of the other usual clowns. That if we were cutting him based on any other decision than “Will he help us win games or not?” then we were doing the wrong thing.

Now a club with a much more successful recent history than us thinks he might help them win games.

That doesn’t mean they’re right, but if they are, it wouldn’t be the first time this club has let someone go on “moral” grounds only for that person to go off and service a competitor for years.

No, I think we agree on the fundamental premise. I accept that some individuals, no matter how talented, can be so toxic that their net effect on results is negative.

Is that Stengle? I guess it’s possible.

Do I trust the club enough, with its current record, to make that judgement? Do I trust everything that is happening with Stengle is entirely his fault, and not owing in any way, shape or form, to the club or its handling of him?

I trust it about as much as I trust drinking from the toilet in Jack is Back’s penthouse.

I’m not saying never sack anyone, but it’s not the big self-congratulatory stand people think it is. It’s basically giving him away for free. Maybe he’ll turn out to be a problem child everywhere he goes, but at this point in time, do you really trust that its Stengle and not the club?

This club has a proven track record of ******* up everything it touches, so at this point, no, I don’t trust it.

You'd think boxergate and beergate would be enough to not trust us at all when it comes to prioritising football over optics. We'd have suspended DeGoey for half the year just for being arrested.
