Success the previous year based upon the last juice left in an old guard- but the mirage of a transition led by players who had you convinced that they were ready to carry the load- Vince, Knights, Otten et al, in their case Rozzee, Butters, Dursma etc.
When the seniors aren't shining any more, the gloss comes off, and suddenly things are pretty difficult.
We got out of that doldrum pretty quickly because we drafted Danger and Sloane, hit on the Tippett pick in the second and were gifted Walker. Wonder what their path out is.
