It's ok though because they get a false sense of their own position, then are shocked when they lose in the finals again. Happens every year.

Its exactly what I was thinking, its a false Top 4 position they landed last year and got totally owned in the Finals series.

Begs the question, the concept is gathering steam and lots of clubs are really starting to get around it. Not the least of which being the Adelaide teams getting to showcase our state, why don't Port try and wear the baaahhhhz for Gather Round?

Are we really that special that their Sunday best must only ever be worn against us? Gather Round seems like the perfect time for them to whip them out. But no, for some weird little brother reason they only ever want to wear them against us.

Port will always have that inferiority baby brother complex when it comes to us. Its why when they win, their posters always come over here for that validation of that "achievement". Its sad and a little pathetic.

I thought it was Collingwood allowing them to only wear it when playing against us and no other time. Could be wrong.

Nah our kicking into our forwards was abysmal and we rightfully got the media attention it deserved, surprisingly Dawson was one of the worst offenders but nothing compared to the Pedlar brain fart...and Tex rightfully let him know all about it.

I never said our entries were good, I just said making wide sweeping comparisons to other teams after 2 or 3 games is far too early.

Now Tom did his ACL against Gold Coast on 3rd June and it seems he has comeback playing a bit early.

Now if he had stayed at Adelaide I don’t reckon he would be playing until late May.

9 months isnt uncommon as it’s basically the point reinjury risk nosedives but continues to reduce month on month after that (that’s simplistic as there’s plenty of performance/capacity criteria that guide return more than timeframe obviously)

Some recent research about return to pre-injury level created some discussion on if we should really be reverting back to 12months as standard because of how long people are still shown to have deficiencies in some areas that increase injury risk even well beyond that

Been told the Power are wearing their 2004 GF jumper for Gather Round.

Confirms my suspicion, that they absolutely hated it when we sprung that Gather Round jumper on the eve of the round last year.

I like it, all clubs should have a different jumper, gives a Lightning Carnival feel to it.

Pedlar and others were like Dawson later in the night, desperate for a goal so they go for it rather than lowering their eyes
