Its an absolute campaigner of a drug. Cheapest of the narcotics and the most addictive.
Ill admit to trying it once (one point), but after seeing first hand what it can do to a person and the life of their loved ones it became apparent very quickly how extremely dangerous it can be and it was not a path i was going down even for a bit of fun every now and then.
I had a mates brother burn down his own house with his wife and kids inside it because she refused to give him money for a fix late one night, luckily for all they escaped in time, their house didn't make it though. His wife has vowed to never speak to him again or let him see his kids (absolutely fair enough) and he is in Barwon Prison for another 8 years yet. He became an addict in just 3 months time after he started using it, it fries your brain so quickly, you go from its just a '$50 weekend for a bit of fun' habit to a '$700 a week because i need to make me feel normal' junkie addict in the blink of an eye.
Ive been and seen him a couple of times with my mate at Barwon Prison, he is understandably a complete wreck, he has been in prison for 2 years now and the realisation of what he has done to his life has sunk in over the past 6 months (as the drugs have worn off). He has nothing to look forward to even when he is released in 8 years time. I dont think he even knows how to smile anymore, let alone laugh, he looks like walking death, the cheeky smile and good looks he once had are long gone. He was a gun footballer, represented the Falcons at U18 level, had a gorgeous wife and 2 kids, a manager at his work and had only had his own house built 1 year before all this happened, now, as his brother thinks and has said to me, he is looking for any opportunity to neck himself whilst inside or at a worst case scenario as he see's it, he will do the job when he's a free man in 8 years. Hopefully he can find a purpose to live in between now and then, but geez, i think i would feel exactly the same if i was in his shoes.
Its a runaway freight train people, dont ever jump aboard it.
