To think though Richmond couldn't trade him for peanuts a couple of years ago. The wheel turns.Really pleased we took Scully and Trengove ahead of Martin.
I don't think they ever wanted to trade him. I think k his manager got a bit ahead of himself and started whoring Dusty around. The AFL intervened though lol. I think they realised that it would **** the tiggas so Vlad was having none of it. Was an extraordinary intervention in hindsight. To think though Richmond couldn't trade him for peanuts a couple of years ago. The wheel turns.
You're right in that they didn't originally want to trade him. I think once they realised Dusty was whoring they sat back to see how much interest there actually was. Question to the Demons jury, if you had your pick would you take Dylan or Jack Grimes?
Can I have Jack in a top eight team?
Good point, well made.
The correct answer is: whoever can stay healthy for a whole seasonI phrased it in a cutesy way, but (if people will allow me to elaborate) I genuinely believe J Grimes is the kind of hard-at-it shutdown player that would really sit well in a top-4 team back pocket role.
Having said that, his brother plays his role well too. But I wouldn't have thought he'd look the same in our team. To be completely fair I haven't watched as much of Dylan as I have of Jack though.
I guess I would just love to see what Jack could do in a better team, because his deficiencies (namely decision making/kicking) would just about disappear when he has better cattle around him.

Wasn't sure where to post this.
I've started a season on afl live 2 with Melbourne and have decided to only use the players brought in during the Roos era and Hogan
FB: Newton -- Frost -- Hunt
HB: Lumumba -- McDonald -- Tyson
CT: Vince -- Neale-Bullen -- Salem
HF: Michie -- Vberg -- Stretch
FF: JKH -- Hogan -- Garlett
RR: King -- Brayshaw -- Petracca
Int: Harmes -- Riley -- Cross
Sub: White
What sort of trades should I make during the offseason. I have a rule that I only take 1 player from an opposition club.
Immediate needs I can see are
Ruck
