Cheating is far, far more prevalent than I ever thought once I got out into the real working world. Workplaces man....they may as well be the real world Ashley Madison.

From the blasé tone, it sounds like Carbine Chaos has been either the perpetrator or never been involved in that type of situation. Just an observation from the lack of empathy.

I don't deny that cheating is prevalent, just questioned whether it's most of the population. I mean, your friends and family aren't going to be spreading the word that they are cheating...

I wonder if it includes online cheating like OnlyFans as well.

People's obsession with this kind of stuff is weird.

Most people/basically all footballers cheat in some form. Move on.

Let's focus on more important things like Petch's impending Subi career and pathway back to the big time.

Agree, never understood the obsession with footballers (or anyones) private lives

Honestly couldn't give 2 stuffs what they do away from the field, but I do also understand that I am very much on my own there, especially these days

As always, depends on what it is they did.

Domestic violence? I'd probably not want them to wear the blue and gold.

Cheating on their spouse? Consenting adults, it's not illegal, sure it's immoral but doing immoral things would disqualify almost 100% of all AFL players.

Probably not a popular take but aren't leaders at the club supposed to be teaching draftees and young players a lot more than just on field football? Especially interstate 18 year olds who come over with no network and are often living with the senior players are learning genuine life skills and values from the leaders.

Not sure I would be keen on someone like Lachie Neale who cheats on his wife of 2 kids to do that so I think 'leaders' personal lives are relevant to the football club.

If you want to cheat on your spouse and be a scumbag in your personal life then go for it I guess, it's not illegal. But don't put your hand up to be a captain and a leader.

From reading the last few pages I can see there is only one side of the story here and a small story at that.
Who knows what's inside of a dysfunctional relationship,

Well according to rumours, he was already in a relationship when he met Jules and she apparently had no qualms about making moves on him despite already being taken.

Takes 2 to tango but if you're going to get with a cheater, knowing full well they're already in a relationship, probably don't be surprised Pikachu when it happens to you.

Absolutely agree with this. Taking on that sort of role means you should be living the ideal as a role model.

I know of a guy, owned and ran a super successfully small business.

Had an affair on his wife. Turned very very messy. This inturn effectted his business/managerial skills as his head and presence were away from the business for huge periods during the aftermath time.

Business ended up going under and shutting shop because he wasn't there to manage the day to days and pay the bills.

Lost his wife, business, affair partner, friends, and they all took her side, house.

Dunno what this adds to the conversation

Proviso on that is who it's with, ie the Carey/Stevens situation which made Carey's time at the club untenable after

According to the rumour mill it's also why Simon Cox left the Bulldogs back in the day, except he got shown the door when it was Scott West who allegelly had the affair with his wife

It adds to the point of "Who cares if he's cheating - I don't care about what he does in his personal life (as long as not illegal), I'm interested in his football" being a dumb take.

I did a quick scan of the Brisbane board when this story dropped and that point of view is a lot more common there. Probably a dash of cope given it is their player and captain.

I don't care at all what he does in his personal life. As others have said, it takes two to tango and her reaction doesn't cast the image of an emotionally mature/stable person. I'm sure he'll keep playing football next year and she'll move on to find the right partner for her.

I don't deny that cheating is prevalent, just questioned whether it's most of the population. I mean, your friends and family aren't going to be spreading the word that they are cheating...

I wonder if it includes online cheating like OnlyFans as well.
Funny you mention that because I've read opinions where people see onlyfans the same as pr0n ie not cheating. I don't agree with that myself but it's apparently the world we live in where sex is readily available with no effort.

People often reveal they done it later on when nobody can get hurt. Like after a break up. I have family members that have revealed they cheated in the past.

Using OnlyFans can and should be considered cheating, if it's done in secret or crosses established boundaries.

Its inherently more personal and intermit than your run of the mill pr0n because of its interactive nature. Personal request/messaging/monetary payments to one person/the emotional connection to one person etc.

However, if both parties agree to the use at what that involves, than no, it shouldn't be considered cheating

Not really being interested in some footballers personal life is a dumb take?

Officially heard everything

Similar to the artist vs art debate I guess.

Just not sure I could support a footballer even if he plays for my team if I know he is a shit human

Was very keen on adding Neale to our list but now I’m glad we didn’t sign him and hope we stay far away now for example, despite the fact he’s good at football.

So who did you support in the 2002-2010 era?

I'd imagine if the Josh Hill stuff came up during his playing days this board would've been the first to chase him out of Subi with pitchforks.

Lachie is just thinking of the long term outlook for the football club. Gotta keep.that conveyor belt of father/sons going somehow.

I heard the AFL was planning to send all illegitimate father/sons to be raised at Port Arthur's penal colony in Tasmania...Its their answer to a TAS academy.
