Putting ones own selfish desires before the wife and kids isnt a great quality of a father . Gratification can manifest in selfishness not just in sexual matters but also in choices of entertainment for the family or holidays, not valuing the other partners opinions etc . Really not being invested in the family is detrimental to it .

clearly you haven't learnt of sarcasm. How can she say she is doing what's best for kids, but then take them thousands of kilometres away from their dad? Is Neale a terrible dad then?

of course now he is also an "absent dad". not defending what he did. but there are two mistakes being made which will add up to double trauma for the kids.

But Jules is actively herself taking kids across country so that he can't see them. this is different to separating and then living separate lives in separate residences....but at least in same city so kids can see their dad. she is choosing that this isn't best for kids.

Life is so complex. I think 1 year and he will move here and that won't matter. They could have agreed together that this type of separation is best to be fair.

when you are at the bottom, there isn't a single thing you can do right. thats how society is, we look down upon the weak, those we perceive as pathetic. every choice is then a confirmation of ones own beliefs (I think there is a word on that).

Until we significantly improve, we do everything wrong. and to be fair, we did a lot wrong.

Rather than taking the kids away from dad as some sort of punishment for him i think you'll find she's going home to be with her support network, friends and family the kids will probably have more cousins to run around with too
