If not us, I don't give a **** who wins, you just hope for good finals and a cracking GF (the last couple have been stinkers).

But I'll always lean towards the non Vic team on the day.

And I'm not going to let whoever wins ruin my day

Every teams supporter base contains some loyal fans who are great people and deserve their team to have a bit of success. Tuning out the obnoxious twats and being happy for the others is always the tricky part. It's not like we don't have our fair share of obnoxious fans.

Not sure I can agree, Fremantle and Port Power make it near impossible to follow the non VIC edict.

Have already resolved that if/when they (Fremantle) do contest a grand final again, will not be watching a second of it and actively avoiding the whole day.

Simply not worth the anguish and aggravation.

So i take it your not a fan of the "west coast wave"
Hate it.

Mexican waves are for cricket - should only seen in the AFL when your team is a long way in front in the last quarter.

I have Freo above most Vic teams in preference. As said previously, they haven't achieved anything worth hating.

Dogs are my least favourite team - and I'm sick of the Hawks and Cats success.

I don't mind Saints or North - but I don't think either should be in a national comp, so would like to see them merge or dissappear back to the VFL (and have lots of success there). Dogs can go too.

Fremantle the club no (not achieved) but a great deal of their players over the time and a good proportion of their membership/supporter base. No. Sorry I wish them no goodwill.

Agree I am sick of Hawthorn and Geelong.

The Saints, North and Dogs… yes, the legacy VFL clubs will be continue to be supported for the forseeable future, particularly whilst GC, GWS and soon Tasmania are funded by the AFL.

There may be a day of reckoning for the league eventually.

I need some clarity the stand rule.

Sometimes no-one stands the mark and the umpire yells at the players to keep outside the five.

Or a person running in to the mark gets told to stand, so entering the protected five is ok.

Other times (Yeo) runs away from the mark but gets pinned 50 for not standing.

It’s a mess

Watched the new Man on Fire series on Netflix this week (not terrible). At one point the character sings a song that was sung to a child by their father every night before bed - Never Tear Us Apart. Mind went straight to Port f*cken Adelaide, they've ruined a classic with a cringey pregame ritual.

Was the character standing up holding their scarf stretched?

Are we getting two games on a Friday night because the AFL is contractually obligated to play one of Carlton and Essendon on a Friday night?

Jesus ****ing Christ. Is there any other sport in the world where the fixture is this compromised?

Two games on a Friday night because the AFL refuse to play two non-Victorian teams as a standalone Friday fixture

It’s ****ing absurd

The blues with just 15 tackles for the half.
Lions going at a jog.

Self preservation mode in full affect

If they can go with a team until late in the fourth when fatigue kicks in, then wheel out Jackson to go bang in time on, they’ll be hard to stop.

Only gotta get to the mid point and they could cruise into a top 2 spot barring anything.. dockery happening.

They have got a lot of pace which in today's game is an essential key. They will go far, unfortunately.
