I think the AFL might have finally done it, made the game unwatchable. More goals isn't much fun when it's one side doing most of the scoring.
It's been downhill since the 6:6:6 rule was implemented. Coaches should be allowed to set field positions to stop beltings like these. It does nothing for a club's culture to be flogged week in and week out.

The Gary Hocking 14 man flood and a centre bounce 🤣

This one was. Half a team playing away was never going to be a contest

There's been 8 games so far. 4 with a margin over 56 already and a 5th was well and truly over by 3 qtr time

Of the other 3, 1 was the shocker on Thursday night (close but terrible), the Pies v Saints game last week which wasnt too bad and the one belter between the Dogs and Lions.

Maybe just a quirk of the draw, but 2 or 3 watchable games a week seems an issue

Feeling pretty good about tipping the dokers at the moment.

Yeah, I’m regretting tipping Geelong

Early doors but Freo are looking pretty slick

Bailey Smith nearly kicked someone's head off trying to boot it off the ground, play on

Geelong look shit. I would love them to fall off the cliff this year.

Wouldn’t it be nice

They’ve come up against two rising young sides that have/are exposing their lack of leg speed

This is looking a lot like basketball now. Race down your end and you either score, or it will race down their end. Then repeat.
not entertaining as it is. My preference would be a cats belting, my non-woke wife suggested the best we could ask for is injuries to future opponents. I know some will be upset by this but its house rules. I draw the line at knees and backs.

It would be funny to see the blow outs continue to the point where the media start getting an agenda for it and pressuring the AFL to make changes yet again.

I stand by my opinion that the Hocking rule changes ruined the game - both the stand and 666. If you need to stem the bleeding whilst your side is getting run over too bad, go back to your designated zone. So f*cken lame.

I'm fine generally with the idea of a score review system in footy - inevitable really with the jump in broadcast quality.

But overturning a great snapped goal for some imperceptible touch is so wrong. It's only ever good if it benefits your team. Terrible for the neutral.
