Boy should be up for it, as we havent won their for 10 years and had some massive losses there over the years. All the conspiracy theorist would be up and about if we end up winning.

Yeah he had ice on his wrist pretty sure. Could bode well for us.
If the MRP do their job properly hodge won't be playing next week for kneeing Bartel in the head

So no doubt he'll be playing

Was just looking at Geelongs fixtures - their next reasonable tough match is against Port Adelaide round 5 Adelaide Oval then WCE round 7 at Skilled Stadium. They could either be 6-0 or 5-1 by the time we play them. They're going to be very hard to beat on their home turf particularly, so have them down for possibly 9 wins there and that's not taking into account them playing the weaker sides so I have them with 14-15 wins by season end? That's barring injury of course either to Dangerfield or Joel Selwood.

Finals-like intensity in that game. I know it's only round 1 and many things can change over the next 6 months, but anyone who thinks that both these teams won't figure significantly in the finals is either hoping for significant injuries or just purely insane.

Dangerfield BOG despite his umpire abuse and missing those two easy goals.

Random stat time

Fremantle conceded 15.13 in their whilst we coughed up 15.12

65 point loss to them, 64 point win to us

I know Hodge is a dirty tosser but I actually didn't think it was that bad - Bartel dropped to his knees and Hodge had a split second to change direction. You'd be dirty if it was one of ours and they got rubbed out.

Yeah we're not beating them at KP this year.
New season same old ep2006 ! How can you be so negitive about your supposed own team but be a positive inspiration to all on the freo board ? I wish you would bring some of that positivity to our board . But leave the ass kissing to the purple board

Didn't hodge have a finger tendon injury heading into the season, could it be a flare up of that?

I believe Mitch Duncan caused the injury when he got reported for charging Hodge. Missed the head and shoulder and hit the arm really hard. Could easily be a fracture, or not.

I was keeping this close to my chest but, we wont lose a game all year. 25-0 all year.

As a special case for Good Guy Hodgey the AFL have just approved a new prosthetic hand that he can wear only during the game against West Coast:

Would have liked to see it again but CH7 shelved the footage straight away - looked like he led with his knee and got Bartel in the side of the head. Don't see the difference between that and a head high bump

Yeah comparing our narrow loss in round 1 last year against the Bulldogs to the thumping they gave Freo was a stretch too far. Bless him though. Such a nervous Eagles fan.

The fact is that Hawthorn have put pressure to the man and the ball in recent years, and look what it has yielded. They play right on the line and in many cases it seems dirty (and in some of those it is actually dirty - especially Mitchell's infamous knee). We need to have a similar intensity to the man to get anywhere near a real crack at the premiership IMO.

There is a difference between what you mentioned and Hodge who is a dirty campaigner who gets away with it every game.
