Said it on the main board but truly, Rance is the only backman that gets treated like a forward by the umps. He wrestles and constantly grabs at his opponent, and always gets the 'you were holding eachother' defence that forwards get after throwing their defender away.

Footy is so geared for forwards, with hands in the back, chopping the arms and and the lenient umpiring, honestly half the reason anybody thinks Rance is any good is because he has the longest leash in footy as a backman.

Lost a marking contest to Jack Watts, then deliberately smacked Watts in the back of the head while he's on top of him with Watts face down to the turf.

Both are terrible things to do.

They defend their favourites so blatantly, it's disgusting. Good to see Melbourne fly the flag and show some heart.

In that last quarter Melbourne did what we should have done when the rain started yesterday - force the ball forwards at all costs, with taps and knock ons if need be, and have the forwards ready at ground level to win the ball and score. Those goals to Kent and Garlett were fantastic to watch.

What did rance do?

Was beaten on a one on one contest by Jack Watts, fair and square.

Watts was lying on ground & Rance in a brain-fade hit, with some force I might add, Watts in the back of the head. Very frustrated and he unfortunately let it show by whacking him.

Will get 2 weeks, but should get 4, down to 3 as it was gutless, cowardly, pathetic hit.

Much like his club he plays for.
