Can't figure out if the digs swans game was a good result for us?? On one hand, we're a win off second, on the other, another team has jumped us, as the crows will tomorrow too.

We're no threat so to me, at least, it means sweet **** all where who lands.

Even if we bradbury it to top 4 we don't have the cattle in the guts to compete, away from home especially.

More to the point it appears we are just not good enough, or alternatively just don't have the hunger to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone.

It's a good result. Swans play Geelong and Hawthorn in the next two weeks, and the Bulldogs form is still somewhat sketchy, so it could open up a spot in the top 4 for us provided we keep winning.

Watching that made me sad. We are so far away from that sort of play, how the hell did we make the GF last year. :(
Do you think we are playing at the same standard as last year? This may have something to do with why we are so far off the pace this year. If not in form, you aren't going anywhere. It would be nice though if they could turn things around, but not holding my breath. Just don't think it's their year - it happens sometimes!!

Our squad has looked unmotivated and disinterested all year. Just one of those things you mark down to "an off year" I suppose.

Looked that way since first NAB cup game. Losing a grand final has clearly not meant anything to the collective motivation of the group.

The Hawks didn't have that great of a start to last year either. Maybe the shortened pre-season coupled with added expectations and harder early fixture have pulled us down a peg. Hoping we can kick into gear now.

Sometimes a loss like that just makes you flat and knocks the wind out of your sails. After having beaten Hawthorn so convincingly last year in the QF, they probably got a bit ahead of themselves when turning up to play Hawthorn in the GF. Consequently when things turned to mud it dented their confidence, and the result is what has been served up this year. You would think by this part of the season that things would have started to turn around - mind you it still may. One can only live in hope!!

For the first time this year I have started to feel optimistic about our chances. I don't know why, but I think we will beat North next week and it will start from there.

Where is Go Eagles? Can you please confirm my good vibes?
Hard to tell how we'll go next week but dont be surprised if we lose. Without NN, Goldy will run riot and I can see them winning the midfield battle easily.

Jeez, I like this Hunt bloke from the Dees ... what a dasher, and only played 21 games. Watch this block electrify the competition.

If Brisbane and Essendon can win the midfield battle against us, what hope do we have against Norf? None, absolutely none.
