If the Dees beat them without Hogan playing, the hawks had their "down" day. They're probably less likely to drop our game now than before unless this dents them a little.

Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this but with Port's humiliation today, we are pretty much now officially a lock for the finals. Would need to lose our last four by healthy margins, and have either Port or Melbourne winning their last three, to finish outside the eight.

However, looks likely that we could travel in the first week. Must beat both Freo and Hawthorn.

Well, fair to say that all of their head coaches shouldn't be coaching.

From a purist POV sure but most teams are rarely at full strength , Hawks were quite inexperienced down back with Frawley missing and Stratton injuring his shoulder and Roughead still missing I don`t think Melb care and they'll live on that win till they meet again next year .

Yeah I'm just comparing them to Melbourne's situation over the past few years.

Melb were given a big help with Viney and Stretch going fairly cheaply.

I'm not sure about Brisbanes FS situation but admittedly I forgot about Fitzroy. Presumably Fitzroy players were too depressed to make babies and/or convinced their kids to take up a different hobby?
