Same here. Ive got Josh Kelly and Jack Crisp on the bench, but it won't cover everyone.

Yep, fair enough too. I'm just staggered that I've heard more than one person suggest that there wasn't much in it - you'd be lucky to escape either charge independently, let alone both.

Melbourne have definitely improved this year. It's baby steps and there's still a loooooooong way to go, but don't let the horror of Sunday completely overshadow the progress they've made.

The problem is, they were coming from such a long way back that they still have a long way to go.

If Frawley goes, and they're lucky (or if the powers that be intercede), they could get pick 3 on top of pick 2 anyway. Surely there's no way they get 1+3+4, but 2+3 is an easy out for the AFL if it comes to that.

Could be an interesting offseason - Roos with a year to appraise the list, whisperings/bellowings of mass delistings, two top three picks, maybe a cheeky FA or two...

They are but they have talent, they need to develop players more an not put 18 year olds into captaincy roles, that is being ridiculous to say the least. The Bulldogs have shown you don't need PP's, ditto Port.

I anticipate massive trade involvement too, with a nucleus of hard performers to be built around. I still think they are 3 years away from being consistently competetive, 5 minimum from top 8 material. Too much baggage and losing culture, currently.

As far as I know, there's no concrete rule for which band the pick is, it's all discretionary, based on the importance/wages/age/value etc, so it shouldn't be hard for them to make it top-band, they wouldn't even need to visibly tweak or fudge anything. Definitely agree on them being big players in the trade market too.

Given the sort of money being floated I struggle to see how Frawley wouldn't wind up in Band 1 anyway.

As an aside, if compensation survives I would be entirely unsurprised to see the mooted 'draft pick value table' from the new FS/academy bidding system employed. The current system is a joke.

As is Frawley being unrestricted simply because of how his current deal is weighted.

Another flaw in the system - Surely if you are found guilty of two offences in the one match discounts should be removed - Ah, ticking the boxes !

Needs to be made example of. Forearm to the throat can do some real damage. If players are starting to choke instead of hit people than this needs to be stamped out early.

Id be annoyed if an essendon player did it at all. In saying that I dont think he will get the 3 weeks people are stating. Will most likely be 2
