If I was a suns fan (and I guess I am this arvo) I would consider running on to the field to slap their small forwards for ****ing this up.

Hard to believe the Hawks are building their new base on top of landfill but there's going to be more garbage above ground level than there is below it.

Why move Hipwood back when he's their best forward and there are better defenders than him?

Martin is 31 this year. By the time ballenden is ready to play in a couple of years Martin will be past it and he will settle into full time ruck. Hipwood and schache forward with Andrews, McStay back and ballenden In the ruck is a scary spine.

Andrews, McStay, Gardiner are all better than him. Cutler can play tall if required. Moving him to defence would be as dumb as Collingwood moving Moore to defence.

thought Ballenden was a forward only.
good timing if they can get him to play ruck and Smith rotates fwd/ruck with him.

Moore has never played defence (afaik). Hipwood came up through the U18s in defence, with time up forward. He's playing fwd out of necessity.
If Ballenden is a ruck/fwd then ill cede that and Hipwood stays CHF.

Moore played defence in his underage year. Who else plays forward is irrelevant. Hipwood is their best forward. Therefore you play him forward.

What a great day. Dons get a massive win and Hawks go down to an expansion team. Now we need Carlton to get whipped by the Giants and Collingwood to choke against the Dees.
