went for a lively Sunday walk around a beautiful lake in the evening, and I come back and check footy results and see that WCE has beaten st kilda, and melb has knocked off Brisbane…

I wasn’t sure if I accidentally got a bit of an exotic magic mushroom in my mouth along the walk.

In one of my tipping comps I went Saints and in the other WCE, it was a real 50/50 because its just the right kind of Saintsy performance.
And watch the Saints this week likely batter GCS to further their awful inconsistent season.

Amazing tribute by CJ. But every time such a tragedy happens and such glowing tributes flow, I wonder if those praises would've helped sooner. Not saying that CJ or others didn't praise Adam before or that praise alone would've moved the needle. I'm not trivialising the issue here.

We are all caught up in the day to day grind and don't appreciate enough. Everyday, we do not look with thankful eyes at those around us. Everyday, we don't notice enough, the thoughtfulness that others display around us. We take too much for granted. We take too much and offer too little back. We carry too much context in our day to day interactions. I love how toddlers wake up the next morning having "reset" all that bothered them the previous day. We lost that growing up.

Among the many things Religion gets wrong (controversial with some, I know) it is not a hub and spoke model, where we all thank "God" for everything people around us delighted us with. It is a point-to-point model where we thank those people direct. Trust me, the "Almighty" God(s) is/are not hanging off our every little affirmation. Clear your "gratitude debts" with friends/family around you everyday, instead of "banking" it with God (by thanking him/her for said friends/family).
