Good to see Ben Keays and Matty Hinge enjoying some success.
Yeah, Keays has obviously been a mainstay in their side for a little while but really good to see Hinge get some consistent footy at senior level - playing pretty well too.

Crows with 8 individual goal scores in one quarter.
The Blues are lucky they kicked them in the 1st and not the last.
It will be hard to come back from that bad start. Just need to outscore Crows by 2 and 3 goals in the next 2 quarters.
On the other hand, the Crows just need to add a few goals each quarter and that makes it very difficult to get the lead back.
Hope the Crows have a good win.

Adelaide must be feeling like a heartland Vic team. 4 of their first 5 games at Adelaide Oval.

Crows would be best served slowing it down a little.

The only way Blues get back if it stays a fast game.

It’s too early to do that, albeit they don’t need to pay at a frenetic pace. When they do that it plays into Carlton’s hands and the style they want. Kind of showed in the second.

Lol as I’m typing they get another so maybe they should.

They're playing an exciting brand of footy.

Tex has an amazing pair of hands.

Keays isn't bad either is he.

Our coaching staff vindicated by keeping him as a pressure forward every time he played senior footy!

Don’t do this Martinson, you’re playing into tom14’s hands!

What Keays debate?

Literally 4-5 times a year there is a discussion about whether we should have kept Keays.

I have nothing against Keays and am very happy that he's made a career for himself - but he wouldn't have got a game with us if he'd stayed in any case.

It is an interesting way of shutting down legitimate debate by disparaging Keays. Fogarty was another that copped it on this forum last year so best not to take all posters opinions into account.

When did I disparage Keays? I was also pro-recruiting fogarty as a McStay replacement last year too.

Not sure how I've shut down debate when we are literally on an open forum?

Crikey.

If I mention his name all the usual suspects spark up.

You guys love stirring me up.

OK

Here I go.

Keays is a very valuable player for the Crows and they love him.

Here's my controversial take:

I agree with everything you said.

Because this game is so boring…it’s been done to death but keays would never have worked here. Good in vfl but was too same same and fumbly at the lions in the 1s.

He has been able to start at the bottom at the crows, especially with injuries to other players, and just get game time.

They kept his tasks very simple and he has now developed into a decent player.

These are the types of players you just have to be happy for I think.
