Got to admire the way Carlton came back without there most important players. I think with full side we are pretty close with Carlton but I don't like the look of the tigers due to their lack of mental strength. This will continue to haunt them in big games unless they fix it and it always seems to be against Carlton. Didn't not like the quality of football from either side tonight.

I disagree. I think SC points can be used to support the performance of a player. It's just not always the case that the score is an accurate reflection. It needs to be used in conjunction with other means when appropriate. You certainly couldn't use it without watching the game

At the end of the day it's just a statistical summary (attempted at least) but the whole impact loading is a damn mystery at times. It sure as hell isn't perfect.

Hawthorn's disposal is great. But it's simple too. Wait for hard leads, kick into the space where players are leading. Don't take too long with it.

It takes skill to weight the kicks correctly, but we don't even lead hard enough to gain separation. Bit of column A and bit of column B problems for us.

I'd make our team watch every game that Hawthorn plays. How clean is their movement? It's not just disposal b/c that discounts how much of a hard leading side they are. They work extremely hard to create space.
