Hearing the news today about North Melbourne moving games to Ballarat really highlights what a wonderful job Stynes, Schwab and co. have done for the MFC. We could have easily been in exactly the same position as the Kangaroos.

Wiping our debt was the single most important thing this club has done in 50+ years. Yes we aren't out of the woods yet, and yes we still sell a home game in NT, but when you consider what the NMFC are going through right now(have team, will travel), it hits home the magnitude of what the Stynes board has achieved in a short space of time.

I know there isn't much love for the NMFC around here, and i don't feel sorry for them or any pity for the position they are in. I'm just thankful the club I have loved since birth looks to have a secure future, so i can take my son to watch them play at the mighty MCG! That's why i will always buy a membership and persuade all Melbourne supporters to buy one. Our home is at the MCG, not Ballarat or Canberra or the Northern Territory. The destiny of our footy club rests in our hands lads. Go Dees...

I pity them a bit, but really I think they should just relocate full time and be the 2nd regional team in Victoria.

Once we stop selling games I'll be far more jubilant about our situation, but for now we're in a great position to move forward and become a real Victorian super power, for the longest time I've felt we're only that in name, but with Stynes at the helm that feeling is subsiding.

The issue is with "rubbish fixturing" have you seen ours next year. That is anything but rubbish. The media is talking about us and not you guys as much as brad scott would want. And constantly this year bitched about it on the fox channel show.

So we are going by last time we beat each other eh?

We played 2 games against Collingwood this year. One was a draw and one we lost by a point. And we could have won if petterd marked it. I say this because in that case we are a better team then collingwood? Is that true. No it isn't, well not yet anyway.

Some teams play better against other teams, the team we want to beat are the eventual premiers, the team your team wants to beat was wooden spooner 2 years in a row. One team seems to have higher expectations then the other.

Unfortunately the hard work hasn't ended for either club - complacency is our enemy.

Both clubs have found some stronger financial footing of late, developed potentially solid lists and built a good off field team. It will be interesting comparing the progress of both clubs.

Ballarat helps ensures North Melbourne will remain a Victorian club just as NT will yours. I wish the best for both clubs (honestly), but I hope we keep the wood over you on the field.

Despite your onfield sucesss throughout the 90's, you still haven't been able to attract members or make your club financially secure.Can't wait to see the state of North after a sustained premership drought.
