(IIRC it was v the Saints) ..

It was actually v Sydney, St Kilda was his 2nd game. Shane Clayton's career at North Melbourne is over, would Pagan want him at Carlton? Though I'm sure it will be a delisting.

I still think people sell Shane Clayton far to short...

and those thinking Jeremy Clayton has more to offer... wait a year or two and then (if he is still around) most people in here will be replacing Shane with Jeremy in all these "let's delist Shane Clayton threads"...

When Jeremy Clayton has been given as many games as Shane we will be able to compare. Shane plays a particular role of running wide, getting possession and carrying the ball but he very rarely wins one on one contests.
Clayton (J) has courage, can win the ball himself and is a very good kick for goal and deliverer of the ball. Worth a few consecutive games to prove himself HOWEVER I don't know who he can replace.

Well, Shane Clayton's dad was an umpire, so what happens if the umpire and footballer DNA alternates with the generations?

Someone do a check on his grandfather then. That said, we'll look pretty stupid if his kid turns out to be an absolute superstar ;)

I don't think Shane Clayton has any kids right now.

So, if he's stuck on 99 games, I think we should organise a vasectomy for him so as to eliminate any chance that him becoming the father a champion footballer that we couldn't pick up under the father-son rule.

Re: didn't start as a bash Shane Clayton Thread

didn't think that he had a lot of game time on the weekend.

did do the right thing and put the ball in a dangerous position that resulted in a goal.

he looked to be in fine touch the week before for port and, in a game that could have completely finished our season had we lost, the combination of senior experience and form at port melbourne warranted selection.

the other thing is that laids knows what he is getting with Shane Clayton. To a certain extent Shane is one of the easiest blokes to predict how he will play when he gets a game. we were already trialling a new bloke and if urch had had a shocker rather than just the servicable game
that he did have, perhaps shane clayton's role would have been greater.

having said that, i don't think that he will get a game next week if Boomer is on the mend.

i really hope that he manages to rack up 100 games for north.
far from the worst player to have played in the north melbourne team in the past 5 years, let alone the history of our club.
