News Now Goodwin out!!

Assume it'll be Armstrong and Porps in for Goodwin and McLeod - with Schmidt, Davis and Sellar the emergencies.

This is really starting to remind me of Showdown XXI, 27 August 2006. :(

Nah, Davis is out. Ins are Armstrong, Bock and Porps.
Outs Macca, Goody, Davis.
Interesting to see how we go. Goodwin has been the general down back. Someone must step up in a leadership role down there.

As bad as this is for the Crows, there's a silver lining in it for me as a Centrals supporter (not only do West lose 2 Crows listed players for tomorrow, Centrals have regained Nash from the Power).

feel bit sorry for davis. if he's behind stevens it can't be by much. if it was any other team with port's recent form that we were playing at aami, i doubt he'd have been dropped . can't bring him back for goody though, seeing as that gives us 4 tall defenders, unlikely that port will go with 4 talls there. not fussed about porps for macca. due to macca's lengthyish layoff, i don't think we lose a massive amount. rather he get it right for upcoming games. why not petrenko off hbf. has his sanfl form been that bad. he was pretty good when played in defence for the short amount of thyme he spent there. i would have thought he'd go alright off the back flank.

with 2 good feet, sorry.

Yeah like Centrals need it!

petrenko is out for season with ankle injury thats why he's not in

This game is now HUGE! this gives us a look at 2011 and we'll find out where our new leadership will come from

The young guns have to step up and in particular the seniors (what's left) also have to stand up!

it'll be a tough test!

Me too! (Though it's Armstrong in, not Schmidt) Quite worried about this game though now. No more Showdowns for Goodwin :(

Just looking at the team - only 8 players with more than 100 games experience.

The 3 most experienced players are Doughty, Johncock and Thompson - all around the 180 games mark.

The average number of games is 80 and the average age is about 24.47.

Selection kinda makes sense now !

Bock for Goodwin, the running half back role

Armstrong for McLeod, sweeper role

Porps for Davis, can't explain that one yet, horses for courses given Port Powder small forward line ? i know Porps not a backman either, perhaps a bit of toughness ???

Previews of 2011 and beyond I guess.

Apparently Boak won't play for Powder either, all over their BF Board, so reckon they'll bring in the Chad now

**** me, when it looked like we were starting to get a stable line up! Ah well, I still don't think it should worry us, the only real big out is Goodwin as Macca didn't do an awful lot last week, and Bock/Porpy are big inclusions anyway. Nice to see Armstrong get another go, although I would have preferred Schmidt, just for the bigger body in a Showdown.
