I thought I would create a thread for those not so expert Draft nerds like myself who don't look at it as closely as the likes of Knightmare, Pie4life, PMbangers etc. who just want to have a crack at as much of the draft as they want to without the need to do profiles. I'd love to see yours briztoon . Mutineer ?? Procrastinator35 ??

I'll kick it off with my 1st round, I may have a go at the 2nd round before draft night.
Here is each clubs current selections, thank you Lore

Jason mp can I wait until Cal Twomey and Emma Quayle post theirs on Monday night or Tuesday.

I don’t know other teams lists well enough to guess at their list needs.

And my view of a teams list management strategy is more than likely different than the actual professionals.

For example Sydney. My view is Sydney is most likely a bottom 6 team next year, regardless of who they draft.

So at Sydney’s first pick, I’d be going the best inside mid available with a long term view, and for me that would be Brodie Kemp.

Yes he might miss the year, but he long term he’s a player you can build a midfield around, like Cripps or Bontempelli.

But I’ll give it a go when I get home from work tonight or tomorrow night.

You don't need to be an expert to post a phantom draft thread, the more expert posters tend to have draft watcher medals and use the draft watcher prefix. But if you're just wanting to have a guess without a dedicated thread that's okay too! Perhaps we should change this to a 'prediction' thread prefix to take the pressure off a little more? :)

I think once the draft order has been finalised we'll set up a bit of a bit of a competition too.

4. GWS - Ash (think I'd rather Young but happy with either)
5 GWS -Tom Greene (matched) hope Twoomey is right and the bid comes later
6 Sydney- Flanders (this pick shapes it, Sydney could pick any number of players, have a few needs)
7. Adelaide- Dylan Stevens (think they'll take the local boy)
8. Fremantle - Young
9. Fremantle -Deven Robertson (taking the local option)
10. Carlton- Serong

A very uninformed power rankings, based on who I would want the Eagles to select. So I've rated tells a bit lower as we don't really need them. Just from (limited) videos, articles, vibe - I'm not confident at all but thought I'd give it a crack anyway.

Considering who was available I like Jay Rantall and Elihah Taylor for us Briz and the pick trade.

If Trent Rivers or Cooper Stephens slid to us I'd take one of them over Jay Rantall, I like Dylan Williams as well.

I agree in regards to Rivers, but I have him going earlier because he’s a better talent.

You can only pick from who’s on board. When I did this Phantom I tried really hard it to my Lions bias come through.

Richmond - Cooper Stephens
Collingwood - Mitch Georgiades
Carlton - Caleb Serong

Just about every phantom/mock is going with these selections
Either good mail or follow the leader

For mine they were a combination of best available and needs fit at each of those selections.

Kinnear Beatson said today that the Swans wont put in a bid for Tom Green.

Does anyone want me to post my phantom draft largely based off names I like? I've got Emerson Jeka as a draft bolter at this stage

I mentioned to my sister when I was doing the Dogs board phantom draft that people had sniped my three top choices for my next pick, and she said to go with the coolest name. I would probably have picked Trent Bianco anyway, but that solidified it, he has a pretty cool name.

A club will take him, based on his marking abilities alone.....But that goal=kicking of his has Levi Casboult mark 2, written all over it....Needs some serious work to over-come those yips.
