Ok so the real interest in the southern hemisphere this summer will be across the ditch.

Very curious arrangement with the T20 squad to play their first international tonight, while the slow-pokes recover from day one of their tour match with NZ A.

Interesting start for their batsmen so far. Did reasonably in a tour match last week, Darren Bravo hitting a big hundred - he's followed it up with 90 in their current tour game, just to reinforce how much better he seems to be away from home. He hit a double-tonne in the tests last time he toured NZ.
Brathwaite smacked 240 or something in this innings as well, Blackwood and Campbell getting some ok runs too.

Big test for their side in this series coming off the disappointing ending in England.

Also their A team will play NZ A at the same time as the first test. Lots of rum being consumed in NZ over the next month or so.

Big series for the Kiwi's. If they can win both tests (and both Pakistan tests) they'll probably be in the box seat for a place in the Test Championship final given the change to the way the points are calculated.

if Pakistan don't get themselves kicked out of the country first

Typical kiwis beating up weak team at home

When are Australia going to head to NZ again? We'll beat them up there too.

Aussie flat track bullies too scared to take on the mighty Black Caps on their home turf.

NZ XI: Latham, Young, Williamson, Taylor, Nicholls, Blundell (wk), Mitchell, Jamieson, Southee, Wagner, Boult

WI XI: Braithwaite, Campbell, Bravo, Blackwood, Brooks, Chase, Dowrich (wk), Holder, Roach, Joseph, Gabriel

NZ essentially going in with 5 quicks, no spinner

The Windies bowling attack is one of the best in the world. Roach Gabriel Holder and Joseph is up there. Not quite Eng or Aus level but not far off, its just a shame that batting wise there is no consistency.

Both sides in this game have strong fast bowling units will be great to watch.
