What do you think it would take for you to let Vlastuin go a year before his contract is up?

Considering he'll be a free agent next year and depending on contract offers, might only net you an end of second or third rounder?

Something HAS to give, stuck in the perennial 5-10 position on the ladder. It's clearly a system issue, and if something doesn't drastically change with the Bevo gameplan over the summer then Bevo simply has to go. Signing him in the first half of the season was the worst decision the club could have made, they are happy accepting mediocrity. Our list is so much better than the position we seem to always be in

Weightman, Arty & Dolan to push McNeil out forever. A few other younger guys will strengthen the bottom 6.

The issue is our senior coach and the defensive game plan that has been proven to fail time and time again. Unless that is fixed, we’ll be a mediocre flat tracker.

as a small defender - and I do actually have faith that Cleary will be a regular next year.
Sellwood may play, but it's a big leap of faith to suggest a guy who hasn't debuted yet is going to play 15+ games.

Jai Serong has been playing well at VFL level by all accounts - tallish defender who can't get a game at Hawks since they brought in Battle & Barrass.

Hope to hell Weightman recovers.

I'm not sure there's a genuine gettable FB out there given JSOS failed his medical by all accounts.

Agree with pretty much all of this.

Sellwood should come into our defence. Ideally we recruit someone like Bond or Budarick as a small defender (not unrealistic, and not expensive).
Weightman and Dolan should easily replace VDM and McNeil, provided Dolan can figure out the defensive running required from our smalls. Arty probably comes into the frame assuming some moving around of roles, he's looked good in his very limited minutes in 2025.

I'd be moving Edge into the group of line coaches and have him own our defence. He's got the VFL side running like a well oiled machine, very strong on defence, and has a history in the GWS inception years as a defence coach.
