Anyone know anything about Stark? Good to see Ricky gets another chance, even if it is with Richmond.
Decent knock in the final innings and a five-fa to boot.

Sorry.

From one of the phantom drafts, sounds like another Couch type.

Meat and potatoes styled player here, that with a little bulk on his light frame, I think could be a solid citizen. Not sure he is the most athletic player going around, he is certainly not the biggest player going around, but he will be found at the bottom of packs. The modern game is back to a game of contested style and I think Stark will excel that this style of game. He was listed at around 176cm for a while there, but having noticed that he is now 180cm, I have hope he may find a place on a list.

If you add some bulk onto his frame, then his game style will be even more damaging. Has a very solid handball, makes good decisions in traffic. Has the ability to draw a free kick as his head is always over the ball. His kicking is not a strong point, does not seem to have penetration, but I think he has enough tools to make it on a list.

Maybe Stark can be a poor mans Viney.

You've done well with Clisby, good pick up. If you want to see what he can do, watch the SANFL 1st semi, North Adelaide v Central Districts (he's #33 for North). He tore seasoned finals campaigners Centrals to shreds that day.

More info: He's 22, a half-back flanker from North Adelaide (Mark Jamar's old club), a nephew of 80s North player and inaugural Crow Trevor Clisby and a very, very good user of the ball off of half-back.

Petterd (Rich) and Bennell (WCE) getting a second chance as rookies.

Didn't see Jurrah's name come up. Assuming Port have concluded he's too much of a risk

No need to assume. They came out and said exactly that.
Going to support him as much as possible etc. but with injury/personal issues he's not ready to return to AFL.

Looks like, pending the outcome of his case, Port will have a look at him next year.

Picked up Stark and Kent this year. Neeld going for the superhero surnames?

Not only that, but we got another Jones, another Jack, two Dean's, and now in the rookie draft, another Nathan and another Mitch.

My head hurts

Five freaking Jacks and another JT as well.

I don't know who I'm going to label JT now.

Suppose so.

Forgive me, I'm jetlagged. I haven't slept in 24 hours.

Plus I only learned his name yesterday, I have NFI who this guy is.

Yeah, I feel like I should be mad but I've already forgotten the guys name. Jack something?

Did I just see Petterd to Richmond?

Called it.

My god the AFL site is shit. Go to click on the Draft Tracker (presumably so I can, you know, see the picks in the draft), and all I get is:

Back shortly

You guys have done SUPER well with Clisby. Should have gone in the main thing. Mature aged and ready to play round 1. Very smooth and neat mover, fluid like and smart. Always seems one step ahead of everyone else, has rare composure in traffic and doesn't panic. Executes his kicks very well, sometimes flat and hard and other times just to the right option. Has a reasonable amount of pace and dash but not super quick. Has a high level of evasiveness and gets arounds players easier than most. Sound mark overhead. Defensive side also solid, especially his tackling which is first class and creating pressure. Would give excellent drive out of defence. Plays a lot like Gram did from the saints but is neater and not as long striding. Unsure on his engine but with the amount of run he does, I'd imagine it would be pretty good for a half-back. His main weakness would be a lack of a left foot but always manages to get back onto his right when confronted. However he should have a long AFL career.

I agree bloody Demons have blitzed this year - from SA. Clisby has this habit of finding the ball around the ground, good reader of the play, not a aerialist and thinks defence before attack, marginally one-sided but has got it. Needs a little polish to play AFL but he is a very good one. Whoever your SA scout is he needs a pat on the back. I knew losing Neil Craig was a bad move for us - there is a pattern forming at the Demons.

Thanks buddy for the assessment and video of our latest rookie. I'm definitely happy for us to pick up some more good ball users off half back, and he seems to be good at getting the ball on his own as well. I'm also happy to see Ricky and Jamie get second chances as they both definitely have talent. I remember the eagles being very keen on young Jamie on draft day and we had a pick just in front of them. I thought it was a steal at the time...

Looks like Clisby offers something that we really lack, that is a running half back with good disposal.

For all you older degenerates, Stark's nickname has to be "Koo".
