The full 2013 premiership season fixture will be released later this month.

ROUND 1, 2013: AS REVEALED SO FAR
Friday, March 22: Adelaide v Essendon at AAMI Stadium
Saturday, March 23: Fremantle v West Coast at Patersons Stadium

Thursday, March 28: Carlton v Richmond at the MCG
Monday, April 1: Geelong v Hawthorn at the MCG

Nothing on us so far, but I expect we'll be given Port Adelaide on a Sunday twilight game.

AFL loves to hog the media headlines/space especially during the off-season. They've turned trade week into trade month now ffs(borrrrriiinnnggg) and they've made the recent draft combine at ES into some sort of 'event' as well. Who gives a shit how high some 17yr old kid can jump etc. 'Leaking' part of R1 is just a cheap, cynical exercise designed to take away the headlines and attention from the Spring Racing Carnival, A-League and cricket. The full draw will no doubt be released on the friday arvo b4 derby day in order to take away the focus from racings biggest day. At least they give us a few weeks off over Xmas.

Anyway i hope our draw is something like this,
R1 GWS h
R2 GC h
R3 Demons a
R4 Port h
R5 Dogs a

5-0 to start the season then play return matches against 3 of these teams. Top 4 here we come....

The AFL is now the bitch to the TV networks because of the broadcasting rights.

Marketing is at a premium, its why something that could be sorted out in a week/week and a half is taking a month. Gotta keep that gillette money rolling in.

I wonder where the 19th and 20th teams will be based, 2 more teams 1 more match a round more advertising dollars, bonuses go up, quality of matches goes down everybody's a winner right???
