Since there was a great interest last year, I thought I would start a thread on this. Post your daily tips and bets.

Day 1

Baghdatis over Schuettler @ $1.10 - better than bank interest, Schuettler is nowhere near the player he once was and Baghdatis will have his fans there behind him

Chiudinelli over Johansson @ $2.20 - Chiudinelli has really made his mark over the second half of the season in 2006 and could slip under the guard here of people here.

Roughies

Arthurs over Koubek @ $3.30 - I won't be putting a lot on but surely he will
have a big one since it is his swansong and he has been put on Margaret Court Arena for it. Koubek has been in good form of late but is hardly a consistent type.

Bracciali over Monfils @ $3.80 - Monfils is anything but consistent and the game of Bracciali will test him. At those odds I'll be on.

nice job with the roughies! any chance you could post your roughies for day 2 also?

I know it's a bit late but my plays for today were:

- Vesnina over Medina-Garragues (my biggest play of the day at $2.40), was an excellent excellent first set that she ended up losing even after having set points, then a domination after that until she got injured, thought I was going to have a refund but she played on and won. Fantastic game, highlights being Vesnina herself, absolute stunner, and Medina-Garragues's tribal scream after one point.

- Koubek over Arthurs, lost this one

- Monfils over Bracciali, was very confident about this one, happy with the result

- Melzer over Karlovic, got this tip from MensTennisForums but that was done pretty easily

- Spadea over Andreev, see above

But my second biggest play of the day and the one I'm over the moon about right now is Fish over Ljubicic at $4.50 I think on Betfair, just over the moon with that one. Ljubicic=******** and Mardy as always=underrated.

Tomorrow's plays I haven't really looked at yet, I like:

- Guccione over Rochus at $2.50
- Savchuk over Mirza at $5.60 (not big)
- Razzano over Pratt at $1.60
- Loit over Rezai at $2.15

I'd have to look further though

Well not a bad day for my bets. Baghdatis got up as expected, Chiudinelli gave Johansson a close one, going down in 4. Roughies - Arthurs saved the day for me. Big win! Bracciali went well as tipped but couldnt get there. After day 1 I'm marginally ahead and my tips have been very much around the mark, if I may say so myself!

Day 2

Blake over Moya @ $1.22 - Blake beat him in Sydney and is a definite smokey for this years title.

Luczak over Kuznetsov @ $1.50 - Great odds. Luczak loves playing in front of his home crowd and plays his best tennis there. Should be $1.25.

Kohlschreiber over Vliegen @ $2.25 - He's been in great form lately and is known for upsetting better opponents. $2.25 is great value and he'll give you a good run for your money today.

Womens - Danilidou over Nakamura @ $1.55 - The greek fans will be out in force, another who always plays a good tournament here. Nakamura is handy, if you're only having one bet today then I'd be a little more confident in Luczak winning (see above) at virtually the same odds.

Yuan over Harkleroad @ $2 - Harkleroad is great to look at but unfortunately I see her going down today.

Bremond over Paszek @ $2.05 - She made the quarters at Wimbledon and should have the experience edge on the 16yo Paszek. Great odds on offer here.

Roughie

Tipsarevic over Nalbandian @ $4.55 - I reckon he can at least take a set off him so you may as well take the long odds on offer to win. Put a little on and get a fair bit back if he upsets Nalbandian.

KENDRICK DFT NADAL @7.20 . Last time they played it was an epic 5 setter on grass, and kendrick is defintely no mug with a racquet.

ROITMAN DFT DAVYDENKO @9.20. This is a long shot but Davydenko is well known for retiring matches and I wouldnt write him off having a day off here.

BOBBY REYNOLDS DFT SEPPI @2.00. Seppi is rubbish and hasnt done anything that great past year.

RAZZANO DFT PRATT @ 1.63. Razzano will have too much power and class for nicole here

DECHY DFT HINGIS @ 8.00. Value again, hingis might have an off day like she did in 1st round in sydney

Roughie

Good effort, almost. You got a roughie up yesterday didn't you?
Keep posting your bets, I will be following them closely since you are around the mark more often than not.

Nice return for me today again.
Blake IMO was a certainty and I bet accordingly.
Kohlschreiber, what a get that was! Juicy odds of $2.25 too!!!
Luczak was a surprise loser in 5 and if he had gotten up it would have been a massive day for me.
Disappointing result for Danilidou.
I nearly got another roughie up (Tipsarevic over Nalbandian) at $4.55, up 2 sets to 0 but then blisters took their toll and he had to retire. Oh well, got my money back but so close!
The 2 womens matches werent played and I guess they will be on today.
Overall, another successful day.

Day 3

Yuan over Harkleroad @ $2 - Harkleroad is great to look at but unfortunately I see her going down today.

Bremond over Paszek @ $2.10 - She made the quarters at Wimbledon and should have the experience edge on the 16yo Paszek. Great odds on offer here.

Serra over Querrey @ $1.85 - Serra plays well against the big servers and Querrey is just that. I was there last year when Serra won Adelaide in scorching heat so he will handle that. Querrey, bing a big man may struggle in it and will try to keep the points short.

Hrbaty over Spadea @ $1.95 - Are they for real in having Vince favourite? Hrbaty excels in the heat, plays well in Aus and will run the veteran off his feet.

Tomorrow's plays I haven't really looked at yet, I like:

- Guccione over Rochus at $2.50

I'd have to look further though

Was a slightly losing day, though only lost on Guccione really and very very very bitter on that one, will never put another cent on pathetic Guccione, hope his career continues to be crap, first round exits

Loit if she wins will complete a massive multi for me, I've had enough back on Rezai to win double my stake so I have won either way but it'll be a big payout if Loit wins, and that's the only bet I've had today

Ordinary day. 1 out of 4 winners.

Day 4

Mirza over Nakamura @ $1.45 - this rising star should be too good

Groenefeld over Harkleroad @ $1.72 - had a disapoointing end to last season, hence why she appears such good value today. Should take this out.

Zvonareva over Paszek @ $1.25

Molik over Kanepi @ $1.45 - will be all the better for her 1st round match, great odds on offer

Ginepri over Zverev @ $1.28 - Ginepri is very talented and on a hard court he is next to a certainty

Gonzalez over Del Potro @ $1.37 - Gonzalez should be shorter than this.

Roughies

Seppi over Mayer @ $2.60 - Seppi played very well in Australia last year and although having a poor end to the year I reckon he will find his old form today

Dancevic over Hewitt @ $4.85 - the serve will trouble Hewitt and he was far from convincing the other night. Will be better for the 5 set victory but he has a habit of doing it the hard way and he isnt going to get out of jail all the time. Put a little on and you will get a big return.

[/B]

Mirza over Nakamura @ $1.45 - this rising star should be too good

Just thought I'd say, this is the worst bet I've ever seen from you.

I was against Mirza in the first round, forgot to have a bet this round.

She's one of the worst players on tour, absolutely pathetic. Unforced errors galore, she will never ever go anywhere. Pro tip, she's excellent to bet against when playing mediocre opposition.

Rising star :D :D

Ok. I had a quick look through her results and they seemed to be better than her opponent. I will admit I'm not as good at womens tennis as the results probably show.
