It would all depend on what draft pick they offered up and how many draft picks we wish use.

You have to use any draft pick you trade for and you can't trade a player for nothing in return, if they offered a fourth rounder that would mean we'd have to have six picks (providing we don't trade any away) in the draft. 2, 18, 20, 36, 52 and Adelaide's 4th pick. I can't see them offering their third pick and I can't see us having six picks in the draft, plus one in the PSD.

A player like Jericho might be more logical.
Of course we could just delist Bolton.

Other than Thornton, there hasn't been much reported interest in any other player.

Yeah, Jericho may also take a spot for someone we don't really want to delist or make us use less draft picks than we want to, I just don't think he's very good

My Trade Wish List
Thornton- could play CHB or replace Fletcher when he retires
Polak- a new club may turn his career around
Kelly- Always rated him highly but didn't reach expectation this season. Will improve
Andrew Mackie- though I heard he has re-signed

newspapers have stated he wants to play for Richmond or Carlton, if he can't get traded to Richmond he may very well go to Carlton in the PSD

No big loss, id rather keep pick 20. Who is to say Andrew lee cant become a good defender next year?

I think Lee could be a good player in a few years, but to expect it next year is unrealistic.
I would be happy if he could play 10+ games and improve again.
CHB is not a position where you just come in and play well, usually

Crows chasing Jay Nash pretty hard and have shown some interest in Bolton (Thank God).

I think it would be a shame to lose Jay Nash. This year he provided us with some much needed dash out of defence, an area in which we are noticeably lacking. If we can keep him, as well as Stanton who seems to be the hardest running player in the team, our midfield and half back line seems to have a brighter future.

Bad news - Crows have gone cold on Bolton, will not offer anything

Jericho doesn't do enough at SANFL level. You may remember his horror game in the NAB cup grand final too.

Saints are trying to organise a deal with Jason Johnson to pick him up in the PSD by offering allot more money with a 2 year deal. Essendon are flirting with danger now, just sign JJ for 2 years and get on with the other trades.

I can tell you now that the Saints have a lot more cap pressure than us so they wont be offering huge amounts for JJ

We whore JJ around trying to get an over the odds trade for him. When everyone senisbly baulks, we then decide, hmmm, you know what, we will give you the two years you asked.

Then JJ says - why didn't you just heckin'g do it ages ago.
The Sheedy says - blah blah blah - international rules bal blah.

Typical crap. Knew it was coming. JJ will stay. Essendon is his home and I don't want him in another guernsey. Just get fit and don't play injured.
