I seriously cannot believe Wheatley is getting a game ahead of blokes who may have a future - Maric, Dunn, Strauss for starters.

Good to see PJ finally given the arse.

Jeez, no Kerr or Cox.

If we lose, we are so weak.

Interesting to see Wheatley back, not sure how he earnt that spot. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the changes. Very exciting to see Grimes and Bennell named in the followers.

If nothing else, I hope Wheatley's return will mean one of Morton/Davey/Bennell is given a bit more freedom to get forward.

Well that may be true but the whole Wheatley kicking the ball straight to the opposition poses a problem to them actually getting the ball in the forward line.

There aren't many players in our team who you wouldn't put it past to just bomb it to the next opposition. Stop hating on Wheatley until after this weekend. If he plays shithouse, and costs us the game then fine, blast him to smithereens. At the end of the day he wouldnt' break into the Geelong team but neither would anyone else on our list. I understand playing the kids, but jeez, at least see if he gives any input. Robbo and McDonald are holding back the kids as well. We cant play a team full of 1st and 2nd year players.

Hopefully it's the thanks for everything and goodbye treatment for Wheatley.

Damn straight. I nearly destroyed my computer when I saw 'Watts out, Wheatley in'.

And as the Dr said- why not someone with a future? hopefully a farewell game...

Agreed about the selection of Wheatley. That's a move I find utterly incomprehensible. I can't see any good reason for that one at all...

The pain is nearly over, Baill's must have been given a directive to knockout WC from the priority pick equation, with good reason....

Next week we will start to see future TALL FORWARD options tried to see if they can cut it. Hughes & Zomer....

Look forward to seeing everyone in the red, blue & green at gate 3 on saturday.....

Christ, i thought i'd never see the day that happened, he seemed to be almost untouchable...:D

He must've owed Bailey some serious moolah...:p

Nice that Miller's been dropped too. I'd rather have a forward line full of 5 foot nothing rovers than put him & his half-hearted efforts in...

Agreed, I don't recall feeling more underwhelmed this season when looking up the teams on a Thursday evening.

Better get the job done for Jimmy boys.

Right on.

One small patch of light is that 4 of the 6 midfielders are Grimes, Bennell, Jetta & Jurrah. I could accept the backward-looking "ins" (Bate excepted, I rate Bate) if these 4 get a whole lot of midfield game-time.

Bet they won't though.

F-me even Richmond giving another 1st gamer a run, lets go kidnap Wheatley till the game is over, and if Junior don't show something this week I will be double pissed! But glad to see Master B back

To be honest PJ's case has been helped by the fact that Jamar, Meesen and Spencer have taken it in turns to neck themselves. Lovely to have the Russian back though.

Not sure what to make about Wheatley, I'd love him to hit superstar form so we could flog him for something. But I know if he did hit any form we would keep him. As much as youth is the future it would be nice to have some players having a crack and playing decent footy regardless of their age.

McDonald is a great man for the club, and his absence and injury have co-incided with our worst games. He may not be as good as he was in his B&F years but I'd rather him captaining our side than Bruce.

Bate >>>>> Miller

Also what does Dunn have to do to get close to a game. I hope he plays our games at Etihad soon, like the immortal Ben Holland he does his best work there.

Pity Watts isn't playing, alot of people seem to think we'll get up and it'd be nice to get him in a winning side.

I was under the impression that the fact that he tries so hard was the reason he's still on our list:rolleyes:
