I can't believe it! About half of our first 22 is out due to injury but yet we look good on paper. I never thought I'd see the day!!! This is the year from hell as regards injuries and fixture list. However, we're still in the top 8. Hopefully, we can stay there.

I'm pretty excited at seeing this young line up face up against Geelong.

Brown played one game as a forward in the VFL for a 5 goal return.
I would have liked to have seen Smith tried from the full forward spot, but I have a feeling Brown might work well with Petrie down forward.

No problem at all with brown's selection -and whoever said Laidley has failed to take the necessary risks a good coach takes...FFS, have you been watching selection for the past three weeks? He could have easily gone the safe option over and over and he has decided not to.

Laids is a new man.

I actually reckon the 18 like this, looks pretty good:

B: Pratt Gibson Thompson
HB: Urquhart Firrito Harding
C: Riggio Simpson Lower
HF: McMahon Petrie Hale
FF: Grant Brown Campbell
R: McIntosh Harris Harvey

Versatile and very attacking from the back line.

Transition the ____ out of them!

I think the avg. amount of games in our starting 22 is around 90-95.

Friday night feels like it will be one of those 'where were you when...' nights.

I read the team a couple of hours ago but fainted when I read Watt was dropped.....I've just recovered so is it true..is it ha is it?

I think Watt should be in ahead of S. Thompson.

You and me both.

I think a few people will have egg on their faces if The Sieves opponent kicks a bag.

Apart from Eddie Sansbury, who else from our list of 40 (not incl. Rookies) who are not injured are not included in this weeks 22+Emergencies?

Goldstein.

That is all (but Grima might play this week).

How bad must Sansbury feel at this stage? I reckon it's a fair call he'll be delisted at the end of the year. I must say that it's a good sign for us that Eddie is No 40 in our list! I mean if Hale or Hamish were injured, Goldstein would probably come in.

I am hopeful that Hunter S turns it all around this week and proves himself to be a worthy and integral part of our backline. Yes he has leaked in the past but unlike the weasels on this board who doing their happy happy joy joy dance over Shannon Watt's omission, I maintain that as a supporter, the idea is to support anyone selected to play. Good luck Scott, break a leg.

Your very well connected mate.

IN: Chapman, Mooney.
OUT: Hawkins, Taylor.

Could Mooney be a late change? Because just yesterday on the radio it was said that he is 50-50.

Shut the **** up if you can't simply support a bloke who is wearing our jumper.

Agree.

Hope he does well. We need him to stand up tomorrow night.

____ I reckon Josh Smith is stiff.

Me & you both mate.

But who's to say that the very same thing couldn't happen to watt?

Atleast if it happens against Thommo it benifits us in the long term.

I'm in the same boat selection wise, apart from Smith. I don't think he would be overawed and he's a big unit, he's also a decent mark overhead. Something we're lacking with the guys out of form. I would've played him.

It's not about being overawed so much as being soundly thrashed by the best in the business. He deserves a game but he also deserves better than to be fried alive. Bring him in the following week.
