Got a copy of One Grand Week for Xmas. Started reading it today and half way through had a strange feeling of de ja vu. Found that my copy has repeated pages 97-128 between pages 127 and 129.

Is this the special addition, or did everyone get the bonus extended scenes/directors cut?

Nope, my edition has the standard, boring ordinal sequence where the 128th page follows the 127th. :D

I notice throughout the book that the same quotes from maxwell or the same stories about a player are written in different chapters

the book itself is a good read, but some of the basic errors in grammar/spelling, on top of the repetition of information, get annoying after a while, i mean, do publishers not own computers with spell check to pick up basic errors?

Same problem i have with my copy of Nathan Buckley's All I Can Be.
I have 40 pages missing, and 40 pages repeated. I contacted Random House, they said to return to a certain book chain, but i never got around to it.

It may be trivial, but I can not believe the amount of spelling/grammar mistakes in the book. The book was obviously rushed out, but proof readers are hired for a reason.

Not a trivial complaint at all IMO. Anyone who purchases a book has a right to expect correct spelling and grammar.

Highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the publishers as well as Nick Maxwell and the journo who ghosted it. Smacks of cashing in - surely the publishers could have at least waited long enough to weed out the errors before going to print.

i dont need to say it - you know what their attitude towards pies supporters would have been anyway :(

while I thoroughly enjoyed the content I was extremely disappointed with the actual structure of the book...extremeley poorly written and whoever the proof reader is they should be shot!!!!!!!

My Dad mentioned his copy isn't right either. Pretty piss poor effort by the publisher really.

those who purchased it should definitely email the club directly and explain the issues. unacceptable, unprofessional and really as someone said just smells of cashing in. i recently got the premiership yearbook black & white magazine edition and there are soooo many basic errors. player's names spelt incorrectly, brownlow votes incorrectly allocated etc. such a piss poor effort, honestly.

Anyone got the offical souvenier from the AFL
"A cakewalk for Collingwood" Preimers 2010?

check out page 90 on the right hand side the moments that mattered, looks very similar to page 92 where it actually belongs :thumbsd:

Back on Maxwell's book, they'd be better off sending copies to supporters than paying proof readers really. WAF Joke! Glad I haven't got a copy yet, I guess theres unlikely to be a second run with all the errors fixed up though!:D
