Leon Baker would have been interesting for an Essendon supporter, but a little bland for the rest of us.
Nah it's SOS for me.
Very very evasive and unwilling to answer some questions that were very reasonable.
Plus 1 if it's going to be like this with boring interviews. I'd rather he spend an hour with recently retired players who have played in premierships etc. Get a real insight into the goings on at clubs.
When looking at them over Youtube to play and episode in the background, Silvagni and Pert were the ones I wouldnt give a thought to playing.
This thread seems like a little bit of an over-reaction to one crappy episode in a row - I thought the Bomber one last week was pretty damn good.
Would have been a good life, travelling around the country in a Kombi playing footy for a bit of cash to keep you going.
It could be good, but I reckon he'll be all diplomatic and on the fence, won't want to ruffle any feathers or upset anyone, so we won't get much out of it.Todd Viney up next. Melbourne and Neeld over the last few years will be interesting.
If he's anything like his youngest son this won't be the caseIt could be good, but I reckon he'll be all diplomatic and on the fence, won't want to ruffle any feathers or upset anyone, so we won't get much out of it.
He did coach him but I'm not sure if he retired early to do soViney has a pretty interesting story to tell though - is my memory failing me, or did he retire a little early to be part of Mark Phillipousis' coaching/fitness team? (I could have him completely confused with another Melbourne player at the time...)
Great player and a bit of a free spirit. Should be fascinating.
Two premierships with Swan Districts under John Todd and two with The Bombers under Sheedy.
Can see how this plays out.
Mike - " You started playing in the VFL in 1984 at the age of 28. Why did you take up footy at such a late age ? "
