Operation get Sam Day

Whilst we talk about not having enough mids and an abundance of talls I reckon we should be doing what we can to get Sam.

A local boy 195cm, apparently has the leap of young nic nat except with some idea how to get the ball and play footy.

Happy to trade away a few of those taller players we currently have to get the right pick.

It will be good to get the Cream of SA talent instead of watching it move to the eastern seaboard.

"Nah, (the D&T board said) Bennell is better"

"I'd prefer an indigenous goal sneak"
"Bryce Gibbs for captain"
"Sack Craig"

Everyone gets in a huff about a player they haven't seen and then we all go have a nice cuppa tea.

Nah mate, love your work 9 times out of 10. And Day is certainly someone that should be discussed on this board, but I just this thread opening a huge can of worms which is the last thing we need at the moment haha.

haha, I know what you mean.

Judging by the strengths of the U18 champs teams, Victoria would have probably twice the junior strength/talent pool as SA, then they have six times the amount of teams.....given that, it would be a great concept for us, but we have such good non Vic boys that I have no problem with interstate love in this team. Also makes it easy for the young non SA players adjust.

TBH SA have been a bit average beyond a few top 3 picks the last few drafts though.
