Would be nice to get a few more Saturday night games - home or away.

AAMI has the atmosphere of a graveyard for most afternoon games, especially against the lesser sides.

We have been starved of Saturday night games for a few years and I hoped that the stronger finish last year would see us draw a few more games in this timeslot.

At least there are no games in that disgusting 12:40 Sunday timeslot.

An excellent draw for a team that is aiming for the top four.

The double up matches are obviously harder than last year but not unreasonable. For the 12 teams that we play once, most of the tough ones are at home (Hawthorn, Sydney, Geelong) with the easier ones away (GWS,GCS).

The key anomaly is the number of night games, only three plus twilight games that finish in the dark. Three big games at the MCG should set us up perfectly for September.
Have you kept the booking for Penthouse off Chapel?

Port basically got our draw from 2012, except they play Carlton twice instead of Fremantle. Looking forward to the excuses when they don't make the 8 next year after they spent all year claiming it was the draw that got us into the top 4.

I'm happy with our draw, no back to back 6 day trips, three matches at the MCG, nice tune up for finals against the Eagles in Perth in round 23 and don't play any other 2012 top 4 team twice.

you guys have a pretty easy draw, i mean you only have to face us once.. lucky :)

I initially had a few problems after I sublet it to a bunch of merchant bankers from Sydney this year. I sent the owner a case of the Rockford Basket Press Shiraz and all is forgiven.

I am looking forward to the reunion with the MOB next September.

Away games to

GC
GWS
Footscray
Richmond(mcg)
carlton (mcg) WTF?
Nth melbourne
Port
brisbane

With collingwood (MCG), west coast and freo very winnable , if we have a defense next year.

I expected the AFL to pander to the whingers and go hardline on us.

On first look the draw looks reasonably easy but I'm reluctant to get too excited. You just never know which team could be the big improver in 2013 and some of these "soft" games may turn out to be very difficult.

It can work both ways

If Cox starts to drop away, West Coast are not as daunting. Collingwood and nth could go either way,. Freo will be harder but.

Loving the angst on the main board about how we don't play the Top 4 the most out of the whole league.

Forgetting of course that two matches against the side that finished 2nd last year after the minor round is an impossibility.

Bloody WC at Patersons in Rd 23 again...and don't like our road trips before the showdowns....would've preferred at least one of these following a home game. Are these our punishments for Tippett saga????

5 games in Melbourne is okay, would have preferred 6. I guess this is the standard from now on.
3 MCG games is great including a Friday night against Collingwood.
2 late Sunday afternoon games is a bit of a pain, worst time for footy IMO.

But overall, from a Melbourne resident’s perspective, this is pretty good.

At least the fixture will help push $kurt to GWS ;). He won't have the aggots to pick Sydney and risk coming back to AAMI. We only play GWS away and $kurt will be happy with that and hope the pitchforks have been put away by 2014...

Good draw. North at etihad is a tough one. Looking forward to playing the Pies Friday night at the G. hopefully we're in good shape going into that one.

Happy about the draw from a club point of view, but really disappointed that there's only 5 games in Victoria. 3 at the G is good, but after only having 5 this season (in Vic), was expecting to have 7 this year. Guess it's the limitation of having 6 interstate clubs now and 10 Vic clubs.

Disappointed about the final game in the West against the Eagles.

Would have hoped the AFL gave us the first and last game at AAMI Stadium to sent it off the right away. Oh well, first game at Adelaide Ovel it is then.
