What a pissweak effort from our so called captain on Good Friday.

Here's his heat map from the game:

Great effort Captain you imposter.

He should be dropped for that pathetic, gutless effort. Hand in your captains armband you fraud.

The heat map is wrong. Go through quarter by quarter. Spent time in the back half for a bit, but your point still stands.

One thing Jack really needs to work on is bringing the ball to ground in the forward line. He gets outmarked way too often. Even Benny Brown was more competitive in contests yesterday and that is saying something considering his start to this season.

I think he's a victim of our slow ball movement and lack of a forward structure more than anything. His strength is as a one on one, deeper forward but we don't move the ball nearly well enough to maximise that.

Easy to blame him, a number of times he was out numbered 2 to 1 and the kicks to him were pathetic.

Needs to be higher up the ground.

At this point though there is no one else on the list who I'd appoint as captain over Jack

He has been trash.

However, it goes to show our alarmingly idiotic forward structure. Wood (192cm) and JZ (188cm) as targets.

Brown marks half way up the ground, who does he kick to? Ziebell and Wood are not taking consistent contested marks. Zuhaar isn't either.

Would almost drop two of Wood, Ziebell and Zurhaar and try and experiment something completely different.

Have Larkey/Brown + mid forward, then pick three any sub 6 foot player on list to play forward.

It is genuinely dog shit our forward set. Completely mad. I'm sure Campbell comes back next week though.

The rule changes destroyed his vitality as a player and now he has compromised to the point where he has no identifiable point of difference as a player.

He has been sanitised beyond recognition, and the truly scary thing is that you can see the rest of our young talented players heading down that same path.

The very obvious dynamism he brought with him in to our club, has been completely coached out of him.

Never fixed his composure and gave up on his midfield play. Shunted to an area where it would be hidden but is permanently physically challenged to succeed. Will play until he retires like the rest of the Scott core.

I refuse to believe that guys that have shown they could be elite have turned into spuds overnight.

Something stinks down there at the moment.

The messaging from leaders, the playing style, the treatment of supporters by the club.

As much as we sucked under Laidley, there was always one constant and that was effort. The same can’t be said of this current list.

The use of the word Shinboner by anyone currently involved with this club at the moment is a slap in the face to past.

Brad finally got his wish of removing the Shinboner Spirit from this club.

I HATE this club and what it stands for at the moment. A word I never thought I would associate with the NMFC.

He just goes to ground too easily and quickly, too many missed tackles and useless diving attempts to smother when they just step around him and we are outnumbered for the rest of the play.

Hand the captaincy to No 9

Let’s look at profiling him as a junior.

Played CHF, not possible at AFL. So expected position is a mid sized forward.

Has limited athleticism so was not considered a strong candidate for the midfield. However was considered a bull so was always considered a rotation mid possibility.

That is who he is. That is unfortunately a mid to late pick or rookie profile, not a first rounder.

We got what we should have expected.

Its heartbreaking to see our fierce leader playing well below his best.

It might be the 666 rule, it might be the game plan, but it could well be as simple as a new voice at the helm that will reset his career.

Most of us on this board have played sport at a decent level and I know from personal experience that a change of coach after an extended period tends to reinvigorate you personally.

You have to ‘prove’ yourself all over again to the new boss and tend to go back to the work ethic that got you there in the first place.

A new leader usually has a new set of KPIs/parameters for you to work in which can kick the players out of the ‘funk’ they’re in.

Whatever it is I really hope JZ gets his mojo back as I love the bloke.

I disagree.

In a functioning side Ziebell has proved he is a very good player.

A player like Jordan DeGoey would look shit in the current cluster**** that is our forward line.

He needs a certain set of circumstances. De Goey can create his own scenarios. That is why Jack will never be a great player, needs too much peripheral assistance.
