We have a good run home no easy matches so we go into the finals with 4 good games behind us

FREMANTLE Will be playing for a higher spot in the 8

Bulldogs Also playing for a higher spot in the 8 and its at the G

PORT Not playing for a finals spot BUT will have players playing for their future and new or extended contracts have nothing to lose will throw every thing at us

Melbourne Could be in a strange place 3rd spot first week of finals of to perth 4th spot back here

No easy games for us so all in all good finals prep.

It is certainly a tough run in. Will we be battle-hardened or battle-weary?

At least we're finishing at home rather than Subiaco. I saw a little bit of Fremantle v Hawthorn this afternoon. Who are we going to play on Pavlich? I was trying to remember who played on him earlier in the season but couldn't.

Rutten usually gets the No. 1 forward but Pav might be a bit too mobile and also pushes a long way up the ground at times. Personally I don't think Stevens is up to the task but it might be Craig's opportunity to see once and for all if he has what it takes to hold down the CHB spot. I've been counting down that days until Bock replaces Stevens at CHB but I would love him to prove me wrong.

It would be a big ask on Bock if he is brought back for this game but I think that, fully fit, he is the best match up for strength and agility. Perhaps in September.

Hmmm, horses for courses?

I remember us pulling Hentschel from the forward line to match up on Reiwoldt a couple of years ago because he had played well on him the time before.

Towelled him up. I think he'd be a better option than Stevens this week. Ken generally is better when led to the ball by an opponent and this might save Ken's bacon as he must be on the verge.

Out of Stevens, Rutten and McGregor who would Pavlich most like to line up on?
Think he'd fancy himself against Stevens. McGregor's beaten him before and Rutten is the unknown but would have the game and physical characteristics to take him on.

Pavlich-Rutten would be an interesting match up. I don't think Pavlich would want to get in a wrestling match with him so might be forced further up the ground. Might get better numbers but fewer goals.

Perhaps Ben could sneak up and score a goal on him like he did against Tredrea in last year's final. We certainly have a few options anyway.
