Overrated and Underrated Teams

What teams do you think the media pundits, media content creators on social media etc are underrating or overeating this season?

Freo my no 1 pick. Not cos of bias, but most have them as top 4 or even flag fancies. Shai, Kozzie are not going to be the magic bullet. Having said that I do think they've got potential to be top 4, but not unless they change their entire gameplan.

Pies. Again many have them top 4 or even flag faves. Look flashy and dangerous but their core is aging and not up to it. Membrey isnt gonna be the messiah. 6-10 for me.

People are underrating the Giants imo, none of the ladder predictions I saw even had them top 4. Their ball movement etc still amazing, and stacked with vets and young talent. They'll at least make a gf imo.

I'll also say Adelaide. Still round 1, but they look dynamic and dangerous and imo it'll be a failure if they don't make finals.

I reckon dogs are underrated .. get Bont, Treloar et al back and they will be very dangerous, despite Bevo as coach

I agree with those although I will withhold judgement on Freo. I held them in high regard and given they are getting key players back i can be talked back into them.

Gold Coast for me is a bit of a sleeper. They'll make finals this year, probably win one too.

Overrated - Carlton, they were losing a bunch of games towards the end of last year and clearly didn't do anything good over the pre-season.
Underrated - Adelaide, they got a sick new logo and they're gonna KILL it.

Overrated: Freo, Blues - I don't think either will make finals, primarily due to poor, outdated coaching philosophy and methodology - I'm tempted to say 'vanilla'.
(Relatively) Underrated: Hawks, Cats - Most media folk reckon both will be good but I'm still saying underrated because I reckon both will be significantly better than most expect. Again, coaching is the point of difference between these two and the next tier (Lions, Giants). Mitchell is ahead of the curve and, indeed, has been for a while; and Scott, who has been innovating for over a decade, has, once again, regenerated brilliantly on the run. Wouldn't be surprised if we have a repeat of the '89 & '08 GFs, hopefully with the same result.

I was honestly quite surprised that most pundits had Adelaide out of the 8 with the off-season moves the club made, the organic growth of our kids; most of which are now 50+ games deep, and having full availability of our list.

I think it's pretty obvious Geelong will be good this season will def be Top 4.
Other times they had shown signs of slowing down so get written off.
