Some sort of statistical doctorate? Or Footynomics?

Speaking as a neutral, I'm glad to see Clark back playing footy and seemingly over his *ahem* demons, but bugger me if it doesn't look he's neatly stitched up your club.

Mentally shot to 6 goals in a year is going to have a whiff about it for a lot of people unfortunately...

It was fairly clear it was a stitch up the moment he came out of retirement and 'requested' / demanded a trade to another club. It's a little bit more than a "whiff".

Anyway, good luck to him. You could never say he didn't try his guts out for us.

Spencil Love and now this.

He didn't try his guts out for us.

Don't be a hater Cannon. When he was on the park for us, which I know was not often, he almost won games for us single handedly. You could not say he didn't give 100%. I'm glad he's back playing footy and glad he is doing well.

I actually agree with you. Really he tried on field. but his off field actions where just self centred. i'd wish him well if he hadn't used the club as a footpath to get where he wanted to be. We were a free ride to him.

Why not? 15 games over 3 years and then he takes a holiday and leaves for greener pastures. He came to the club in campaignerish fashion and he left in campaignerish fashion. Ergo, he is a campaigner.

Really he's quite lucky we call him a campaigner. It's astounding actually that all the users on the Melbourne board haven't been banned yet

forgot all about yesterday's game til I found it channel-hopping, thought 'yes, Thursday night footy, awesome'. I'm happy to watch any game.

but watching Clark dominate was no fun at all.

You blokes certainly got the rough end of the pineapple on the Clarke deal. Can you just confirm that you received nothing for him? I cant believe that Geelong were able to pick him up as a free agent.

Its a bit similar to the Tippett thing. Adelaide clearly deserved to lose Tippett for nothing but it was complete rubbish that Sydney were able to sign him for absolutely nothing, they should surely have had to surrender a draft pick or something.

we got Lamumba for him. It was a three way trade: Clarke to Geelong, Varcoe to the Pies and Harry O to us. So the cats got him for Varcoe basically.

Let's not forget Robert Pyman, or Darren O'Brien, Nick Carter, Dud Cockatoo-Collins brother #1, Dud Cockatoo-Collins brother #2, James Cook, Ross Funcke, Gary Moorcroft, Steven Pitt, Haydn Robbins, Clay Sampson, Craig Smoker, Hayden Lamaro and Craig Nettelbeck!!!

Sheesh, we've had our fair share of duds in recent times!
Can't believe I posted this in 2006, when we were actually half decent! Suffice to say 2007-2014 has provided plenty of opportunities to 'refresh' the above list.

How old are you people? Past players.....Greg Parke, Max Walker, Garry Baker, the Ritterman brothers, Ray "Motor" Carr...ohh the list just goes on.

It's more than a whiff, it's a ****ing disgrace and he should have been made to either play out his contract and commitment to Melbourne or nothing at all.

Every right to be aggrieved, the lot of you.
