yeah yeah heard it all before....i believe good communication is probably the most vital criteria a Captain should have, by you saying Parker should have been Captain, is a joke! Sorry...IMO. As for the exaggeration re Parker clangers...I don't know what games you watch...he is good for an easy goal every game. Yes, he does shut down opposition players more times than he doesn't, but the guy has been giving away stupid clanger goals since his debut, espicially when he kicks out from a behind....can someone please tell me why they let him?
& his brother, Daniel was the worst player I have ever seen in the Afl

Shane on the other hand hasn't failed to make Neesham's, Drum's, or CC's team, so he must be doing something right. And like I said (or didn't say) even some of the best defenders in the game make a couple of mistakes a game.
You seem to underrate Parker's importance to the team, he may not be no SOS, but he determined, and a role-model.
Communication for leadership is good in small doses, you talk too much and people get sick of hearing you. You don't say anything and people stop caring. But if you speak when talking needs to be done, it can be inspiring. I reckon that is what Parker is all about.
Also don't forget that I wasn't actually campaigning for Parker to be captain, I was just throwing a name up. I'm of the opinion that Bell will be our captain for the next couple of years.
